Great value
These smart switches are easy to install and work smoothly with Siri, Alexa, and Google Home thanks to Matter support. The setup is quick using the Tapo app, and the guided instructions are beginner-friendly. Scheduling and timers work reliably, and the switches respond quickly to voice commands. Build quality feels solid, and the price for a 2-pack is a great value. Just be sure you have a neutral wire and only need single-pole functionality.

Great product at a good price.
Item was exactly as described. Extremely easy to set up and program using their application. Works flawlessly with Amazon's Echo devices. Only been using for a few days but so far no unexpected turn on or off's. Was a great upgrade from my 30 year old X10 system.

These work OK, but they're not perfect.
I've been using a couple of these switches in my pole barn for a few months now.The pros:They're easy to set up. I'm only using them with an Android app and haven't attempted using Alexa or IoS. So far they've worked fine as switches.I haven't had any problems with the WiFi connection in a metal gang box, but the router is only about 15 feet from the switches. The cons:It's a little difficult to tell if they're on or off. There's a very dim indicator that lights when they're off, presumably so you can find them in a dark room, but the indicator is so dim it's not easy to see in a well lit room. The switches do not remember their previous state if power is removed. When power is restored, the switches default to off. This issue is enough to keep me from using them for a number of uses.

Clear instructions. Works well with Tapo but not Smart Life.
Our home has front porch lights and exterior up-lights on separate switches. These were both Intermatic timers, and one timer (unfortunately, with a non-removable battery) kept losing its program with every power outage. When I saw this two-pack on offer, I decided to replace both switches.Installation is well documented and straightforward and literally involved swapping out equivalent wires on the old timers onto the new.Even though I use Smart Life for all my home automation, I installed the Tapo app on my phone, purely so that I could upgrade the smart switches' firmware. This worked seamlessly. However, I was not able to get these devices to work with Smart Life (which is supposedly now compatible with the Matter standard). It recognized the devices and added them just fine. But when I attempted to program a scene, and got to the bit where you say which device feature you're trying to control, instead of seeing something like "Switch", I just got an entry with Chinese writing. Thinking this could have been a simple missing text issue, I selected this option, but it then gave an error when trying to save my scene.I don't know if this is an issue with these switches, or an issue with how Smart Life implements the Matter standard, so I didn't want to deduct a star in this review. It ended up not being a problem for me, as the only automation I want is a dusk-to-dawn schedule, never to be changed, and only to be overridden if I am at my front door and can just tap the switches directly. So, I programmed this in the Tapo app, which was super easy, and everything works as I need it to.

Easy install and setup
I needed to find a new product for my porch light switch after Belkin discontinued support for my current switch. After researching products I decided on the TOPO switch. It was so easy to install. My switch is in the middle of a panel of 3 switches. I just had to remove the attached switch plate cover, install the switch and replace my existing 3 switch plate cover. Worked perfectly. It connected easily to my network and was very easy to program. Much easier then my existing WEMO switch.

ZERO WARRANTY (effectively) - Warranty Replacement Cost is More Than New Switch
These switches work great... until they don't.I purchased 6 of these Matter enabled (Tapo S505D) switches (3 x 2 packs) and installed 5 of them right away. The Good:- Quick and easy install- Quick connect to smart-home with MatterThe Bad:- 20% Failure rate (1 out of 5 installed failed within 6 months)- Effectively zero product warranty beyond Amazon 30 day return window- Costs $14.99 shipping to get a warranty replacement in the US.One of these switches recently and suddenly stopped working. After troubleshooting and trying to reset it to no avail, . I filed an RMA with TP-Link which they approved for replacement. However, their replacement options are:1. ship the dead switch to them at my expense, or2. pay $14.99 for them to send an advance replacement.I should not have to pay anything out of pocket to replace a defective product. This should be their cost of doing business, not an additional expense for me. These switches are currently on sale for $25.99 for 2 - so, $13 each brand new. Even if I were willing to pay something to warranty replace a product I've already paid for (which I am not), why would I pay more than it costs to buy a new one? That's ridiculous. If you purchase these and have no issues - great. But buyer beware - you effectively have ZERO warranty beyond the Amazon 30 day returns window.@TP-Link, if you're reading this, charging $14.99 to replace a $13 product is nonsensical. Great product while it works. Terrible service. You can do better.
