Help needed to set up. No Booklet.
Apart from physical set up (how to screw on legs, which plug into what socket) no help whatsoever with the actual set up, I found it unresponsive to my efforts - could get no further than what language. No telphone number given to get you started. Quoted more than half the price of the tv to have someone to set it up for me. Eventually got it done and now very happy with the TV lovely picture - had it a working for 2 days. Strongly advise some advice on setting up if you are not confident. Lovely picture - help needed to set up.

Excellent buy
I bought this LG TV and it arrived earlier than expected. It took a bit of an understanding in setting up the tv and getting connected to my cable network.Once set up , we were pleased with the picture quality and the sound .The size is perfect in our living room and the functions on the remote are easy to navigate. The colour quality is easy on the eyes.I’m very pleased with the TV.

A very capable set, for almost anyone.
The setup was simple; however, it's useful to ensure you have all your streaming services installed on your phone to speed the process up.The stand was simple to build, 8 screws and a simple click-in process and it was done. It's not very heavy to lift, but having two people to manouver it will save worry and/or damage.I connected the DSAT and UHF for linear services; DSAT (via Freesat) has higher-quality versions of the same content you'd find on Freeview. Freeview is hampered by a lack of capacity to broadcast content, and broadcasters like to squeeze more and more into that space. This results in [them] reducing the broadcast quality and a lower quality picture quality, but if you get your content from a satellite, that isn't the case. Of course, if you have both connected, you should find there's no single point of failure for things like bad weather, etc.WebTV OS asks a few questions (Wi-Fi details, postcode, Google sign-in, etc.); you select what is correct for you, and it goes away and fills the EPG. Then you can move the channels around into a favourites list – shopping channels, news channels and religious programming can be skipped forever. We have a soundbar, but even before I plugged it in, the built-in speakers were surprisingly good for the size of the television. Most people will be satisfied with what it comes with, but as always, get a soundbar if you have the means, and you will be far happier. The human mind will ignore a bad picture after a while, but poor-quality sound will drive you to distraction. A reasonable-quality soundbar (with HDMI eARC) is a good investment. One annoyance is the need to dig into sub-menus to switch off all of the promotions, prevent the set from starting on the homescreen (rather than live television) and the lack of a 'live TV' button on the remote control. After some messing around (and searching YouTube for hacks), we got it set up in a very usable way.Picture rendering is very good; I'd recommend turning off all the eco stuff (or your picture will always be dim), selecting one of the ISO Day or Night presets, and it should be good enough for most of the stuff you watch. The Magic Mouse is a subjective thing; I find it annoying and always try to use the navigation 'thing' in the remote, but you may enjoy its speed. Connect your Alexa device, and you can turn it on/off, change channels or alter the volume from elsewhere in the room.Overall, this a a very well designed and built television.

Great price, good picture excellent sound dependable tech
The part I love about LG TV is the sound and ease to set up. This TV has a very clear image, the darks are very good and the colors are rich and vibrant. The set up is also very easy and flows smoothly once you have your WiFi connected. Being smart (which all are) the LG offering for channels is free and not bad at all. Some random sports on there which you never thought you would watch! the rest is Netflix, amazon, Disney and every other online option you can think of, all of which function great. The hand set is ok, it is smallish and could do with a little more space for operation but you do get used to it after a while. My other TV has a scroll wheel in the middle which is great for menu navigation. Overal if you are looking for a TV that is reasonably priced and not a ASDA special cheap as chips make you can viagly remember from the 90s then this is your tv... good picture, great sound and lasts!!!!

LG LED UR78 43" Smart TV - rubbish
Worst TV I've ever had. It won't tune into West TV deciding that I must have SW (Cornwall & Devon) when I live in North East Dorset. It thinks its a computer; switch it on & it shows a screen full of apps and suggested programmes that I have never watched and never will. The TV selection requires two remote presses. For iplayer it refuses to go backwards using the programme guide, you have to go into the iplayer app which takes time to find the programme (if at all) that I missed. It has a myriad of folders and subfolders to adjust all sorts of things I don't need - 'eye care?' I have a desktop, 2 laptops and a good smartphone & don't want to watch utube on my TV. 'LG programmes' are a selection of other firm's programmes - why? I was not well when I bought it so didn't get it onto the wall bracket for 3 months therefore missing my chance to send it back in disgust. Absolute rubbish - bad design, difficult to navigate & does not do what a basic TV should do. A total waste of money.
