These tablets do a decent job of making a dose of iron palatable, which isn’t always the case with iron supplements. The orange flavour is fairly strong, and while the iron tang is definitely there as an aftertaste (when the product description says “no metallic aftertaste” that’s not 100% true), it’s drinkable enough.The tablet fizzes very aggressively even in still water, and initially looks a little unappealing thanks to the powdery scum that starts accumulating as it bubbles. However after a minute or so it settles down, and eventually the bubbles completely go and leave a fairly normal-looking orange squash with just a hint of powder left at the high water mark. The smell is that of cheap orange squash too- not lovely, but certainly not bad for a supplement.The packaging is utterly standard and if you’ve tried effervescent tablets from any one of dozens of other brands, you’ll know exactly what you’re doing to get here when you pop off the plastic lid.At almost 136% of the daily reference intake, there’s a good amount of iron content in these- not too little, but also not so much that it might cause issues with excess. These are easy to use, and more drinkable than many tablets of this kind, so if you’re targeting a good daily dose of iron, this is not a bad way to do it.

Still waiting for results to show in pick me up, only about 50-60pc results, on the 2nd tube.

I've only once required to take iron and that was over 10 years ago following a hip injury and surgery. The recommendation was to take Ferrous Sulphate 200mg twice a day with main meals but even taking it once a day caused bad upper GI pain, nausea and constipation.Seeing these effervescent Ferrous Bisglycinate tablets available, free to me via Amazon Vine, I thought it would be interesting to try them in case I ever needed to take iron again. I knew that Ferrous Bisglycinate was about twice as bioavailable as most other forms of iron so a lower dose of iron is effective.They are reasonably pleasant to take though there would be no danger of other people stealing them for the flavour! Day 1 was fine, day 2 there was a slight nausea/loss of appetite and day 3 there was upper abdominal pain, the nausea was minimally worse and constipation was developing. Stopped them and within 48 hours all was back to normal.Tried them again a week later, with almost exactly the same experience though day 3 was worse than before. Stopped again and don't intend to restart, especially as no reason to do so.Despite the negative experience, it was nothing like as bad as taking Ferrous sulphate and I seem to be poorly tolerant of iron tablets so they will be an advantage to most people. For anyone without iron intolerance, standard iron tablets would be much cheaper, if buying them.
