They work the same....but.....
I have 2 Pelonis Humidifiers. One with the original filter and one with one of these. If I do a "Ready, Set, Go" on both, they both draw water more or less exactly the same. But these are cheaper. And they look it. The aluminum constantly has to be pressed into shape and the fabric material pressed onto the aluminum.That's because just nicking the filter with the top half of the humidifier causes the filter to be deformed. Between both filters I'm filling both up twice a day. So, 4 gallons a day. It only takes seconds to straighten these filters up each time I fill the tray. I don't use the access vents next to the fan on the unit, I take the top off and bring the water resv. to the sink. If I filled it through the top I doubt I'd have this issue.5 stars because they work just like the "Real" filters. But, they aren't the "Real" filters.

I'm ready for the dry and cold weather. These 2 filter replacements will get me thru this winter. They fit well and seem to be made good.
