An amazing computer for use as a Linux server.
I am a network engineer and use the OP5 as the primary server for my office network and lab running Armbian Linux. The 16GB of RAM is more than sufficient to support the services I run on it (PiHole DNS, Samba file sharing, and SyncThing for file synchronization between it and my Windows, Android, and Linux clients). I routinely transfer multi-gigabyte files to and from the server and I've been very impressed with it's performance and reliability and as a result have recommended it to multiple colleagues who have also purchased it for the same general use case. Before putting it into production I tested network performance using iPerf3 and the server maxed out the 2.5g Ethernet interfaces. It is an amazing little machine.

Great Customer Support
TLDR: Stop working, got a replacement quickly. It stopped working after a little over a month and I have no idea why. All the ports stopped and it was over the 30 day return period...So, I contacted baseus customer support and they sent me a replacement after I explained the issue.

Great buy and better than rasp pi - and available!
All I can say is this, ‘buy one if you are a tech person like myself.’ This thing is better than the pi 5 and you can actually get your hands on it. Buy an M2 M-Key Wi-Fi Bluetooth card and NOT a PCIe card. It won’t work in the pi 5 plus. Also, throw in some NVMe while you are at it as well as the 256gb eMMC module while you are it. You’ll be happy you did.Enjoy!

No operating system is installed
No operating system is installed, and you can only use a Windows computer 11 to install the software onto the TF card.

JUNK
Why the low rating? Finally got a chance to download the O.S. The Orange Pi5 has several problems. One, the USB does not work. One live and the other is dead. Two, Trying to set up the unit, the interduction sscreen comes up but no other action. Pluged the SD card with the O.S. in and no action. This unit is JUNK and does not work. Send it back for replacement you say. I had it for too long and can't get a replacement for it. Leaves me to believe there will be NO Raspsberrry on my bench. I will stick with Arduino!!

You'll want to carefully inspect this product....
The build quality and overall quality have gone way down....that is assuming that this is even a genuine OPI 5+. When I took the board out of the antistat bag the headphone connector fell off the board. A careful examination revealed a lot of dry solder joints and blurry PCB graphics. We'll see if this even boots up. All the damage that I could find was touched up and the audio port was resoldered to its pads. Not real happy.

Item is running.
I have the item running as. Microk8s Kubernetes cluster and is performing well in place. It's my test bed server that tests ARM-based images for development. With heat sinks, it maintains a low operating temp and load.

Great piece of hardware although sparse ecosystem is a drawback.
Great features (cpu, gpu, emmc, m.2, rtc, ...).Runs a gui desktop without a hitch. The one drawback, especially for newbs, is the sparse ecosystem (both sw and peripherals) especially when compared to the Raspberry Pi.With regards to performance, IMO it beats out the Raspberry Pi 5. The price is not too bad, considering the prevalence of RPI5 price gouging
