With the rise of air fryers cooked meat temperature has suddenly become important. It's easy to find that your beautifully browned chicken drumsticks are red and bloody inside. That's what happened to me, anyway.You're going to need a meat thermometer with an air fryer and it's worth paying a bit extra for this good quality, easy to use and clear to read digital meat thermometer.

I previously had a cheaper version off Amazon, a non-branded one which only lasted 18 month before it wouldn’t take a reading.Although this model costs more the warranty is appealing and also it performs a lot better - its quicker to take a reading, has a nice clear large screen and seems more accurate. It is well made and has a stainless steel clip to keep the probe safe and clean. There is also a magnetic tile that provides a temperature guide for various meats.Worth the little extra over the generic non branded ones in my opinion.

Just as expected straight forward came with a little magnetic chart for easy reference on temperature. Recommend

This meat thermometer is fantastic and has really enabled me to elevate my cooking and take some of the guesswork (and inevitable over cooking) out of it all. My foods much better as a result.It’s super easy to use once set up just pressing a button. Turn off is easy too and you can just click it off unlike a lot of similar products. Cleaning is super easy and I use boiling water before wiping it. There’s a handy covering to put the probe proper in and this has a clip so you can attach it to your apron so it’s always at hand.This also comes with a little magnet detailing hestons recommendations for various items being cooked. These are displayed in an easy to read table and it’s a nice size to fit on your fridge or somewhere in the kitchen, maybe even the oven if it’s metal. Helpfully, for the more cautious out there, there is a column alongside his recommendations with the government guidelines for safe temperatures.My only complaint is how difficult it is to open and insert the battery. The screw used is so small that even my smallest of screwdrivers struggled to open it. This was such a faff and nearly defeated me before even using the product. The products great but this is something to bear in mind if you don’t have a super mini screwdriver.All in all fantastic. Five stars and I use this most days. Best thermometer.

Bought this for use with my new air fryer.For the price I am very disappointed.The thermometer display sticks out of the top of the “case” and wobbles about because it does not click into place, which is indicative of poor design - the plastic display will soon get damaged in a drawer. The bottom end of the cover is open too, so the probe is not protected from dust and bits getting inside when stored. The clip is flimsy, sharp and cheap looking.Very surprised Heston lends his name to such a poorly designed piece of kit. A slip in sheath or plastic “tooth brush” case which protects the display as well as the probe would have been more practical.Have used thermometer once so far. It was responsive and measured temperature quickly - hopefully accurately…..but it needs to look the part too and offer better storage to protect the product.I would not put my name on this product and customers who trust Heston for quality may be disappointed as am I.

Used to cook candy/fudge/caramel. Produced some great hard crack caramel. Used for rare beef joint checking also. Invaluable tool, no kitchen should be without.
