Q: Does this work on a 2020 Mac air laptop?

yes, it can work with mac, normally.

Q: Does it work with windows 12

This will work on Windows, and Linux for sure as I've used it on both Operating Systems. I can confirm it runs very well on Windows 11 Pro, and on Linux Mint 21. Windows 12 has not been released yet, I believe that is supposed to be around March of Next year. I can only assume that if it works on the Windows 11 Pro, it should also work on Windows 12 when that is released. :) I hope this helps.
