Melissa & Doug PAW Patrol Scratch Art Bundle

Our 3.5yr old is obsessed with this. He will sit for hours and scratch these scratch card art books. Whoever invented this deserves a medal.

The scratch-off portions on the books I received are very difficult to scratch off. There are areas of each page where you have to press so hard to reveal the photo that the black scratch-off residue leaves streaks across the picture, or the page tears. My five-year old didn't enjoy these at all and wouldn't do more than a couple of pages, even though he LOVES Paw Patrol and all the other M&D scratch-off books with the colored scratch-off backgrounds.Maybe it's the black background that's different, or maybe these were defective? It looks like there are other reviewers who had the same issues.

My kids likes it, but it makes a mess and it doesn’t really allow for any creativity. They basically scratch off the top layer to reveal a picture but they don’t draw the picture at all.

My 3.5 years old just spent hours playing this - he did 5 pictures in one sitting (ok… broken into 2 by dinner). He had a great time being occupied by this. I had to clean away the black shavings but not too messy.
