Does What it Says on the Package
These boots were not made for walking. However, I will no longer have to throw eating utensils at family members for dragging their dining room chairs across the 125 year old refinished hardwood floors.

Fit perfectly to protect bottom of chair legs

Questionable use for carpeting
Couldn't find out in description whether they would work on linoleum but bought anyway. Move pretty good on linoleum as long as a person who is not very heavy is sitting in the chair. Not so great for anyone heavier than 200 pounds. Tried on my carpeting and didn't work at all because my carpeting in nubby.
