The hive is a very good product to control your combi boiler, both central heating and hot water function as they should, very easy to fit and setup with included instructions. First rate product and a doddle to use! Infinitely better than a manual thermostat. Needed some professional advice on which wire went where (there were two reds on my old thermostat) but otherwise very straightforward to fit.

Hive is very easy to install as long as you're comfortable doing the basics with electrics. I had it all installed and up and running in a couple of hours. The thermostat is very good and gives more control than the basic wireless device I had fitted previously.It benefits from having new Hive TRVs fitted to the radiators and these aren't cheap. Although I did get a decent deal on the number I needed and so they have been added too. I can now control the heat in individual rooms. Some that we don't use can be left relatively cold compared to the rooms we actually use in the house on a regular basis.The Hive app is pretty good (I updated to the Beta version which does have the odd glitch, but nothing to write home about). An added advantage though is the ability to link this to Alexa and have voice control over thermostat and room temperatures.Overall, I'm pretty impressed with the system and I'm hoping that I'll have more say in my heating bills going forward.

Not too bad to install. Took a while to get it started on the apps and functioning well, we did have to do a reset of the system but other than that it’s working well.

love the simplicity of being able do heating on our phones or alexa, yes it's lazy, but coming home to a warm house is great. dead easy to fit, watched a couple of YouTube videos and worked first time, pretty simple

I purchased this to replace an old Honeywell wireless thermostat as a couple of key buttons had stopped working. Wouldn't have attempted to wire into my boiler but as I already had the Honeywell BDR91 reciever in place it was easy to swap, only slighly more complicated than wiring a plug. Did the install on the app as it explains and everything paired up no problem. Easy to control from the app, schedules all set and working, and also added to my Alexa which is great, though does mean I don't really use the actual thermostat.
