I often make homemade biscuits that have a very sticky dough. In the past, I have used two spoons to scoop the dough, one spoon to scoop and one to push the dough onto the cookie sheet. This method kind of worked, but the biscuits generally weren't always consistent in size and the dough would stick to the spoons. Now I use the largest scoop of the set for making biscuits. This scoop is 3 tbsp. and the recommended amount of dough for one biscuit is 1/4 cup which is 4 tbsp. So, a heaping scoop comes out to pretty close to 1/4 cup. The release on the scoop makes it so much easier to drop the dough onto the cookie sheet.The smaller scoops work well for scooping out the seeds and pulp from squash and melons. I don't make melon balls, so I can't attest to how well these scoops would work for that, but judging from how they work for squash, I believe they would work well for this purpose as long as you scoop enough to create an entire ball. These scoops would also work very well for making meatballs or dumplings.The advantage of using these scoops is that the release helps to remove the food from the scoop so you don't have to try to get it out with a spoon. Since there are 3 sizes, you can choose the scoop that is best for your application.Personally, I very much like these scoops and would recommend them. I hope this review was helpful for you.

I don’t make cookies very often, so never thought I needed these. But they make cookies so much easier than the old spoon method. They are good sizes and work well. No more looking at the cookies to see which ones are too small or too big. They help with other things too….. stuffed mushrooms anyone?

The media could not be loaded. They aren’t quite as smooth as I thought they would be. It’s my first time using cookie scoops and for some reason I thought it would be like scooping ice cream, but dough doesn’t round like ice cream does. There are 3 sizes, teaspoon, 1/2 Tablespoon, and 1 Tablespoon. I used the smallest 2 sizes on my peanut butter chocolate chip cookies. When I scooped the largest one it was the size of an ice cream scoop, too big. The middle size one was a little too big, but it’s like eating 2 cookies. These wash easily, they are well made, but I wish it rounded the dough better. It did keep my hands clean for once and for that I am very grateful I got them.

I bought this set of three to see which size would work best with forming lamb meatballs for our Easter dinner. The smallest size worked just fine. It was cheaper to purchase this set than to buy just one and hope that size would work. Now we have three to choose from to make other recipes.These work great. They are comfortable in your hand. The spring loaded mechanism is easy to squeeze without causing hand strain. The bar that pushes the material out of the scoop is efficient. The process to make my meatballs was very quick and tidy. Before long, I was all done and my husband had the joy of cooking about 100 meatballs and I could just sit back and relax!I recommend this set of scoops to make tasks such as meatballs go by swiftly and painless to boot.

I had to bake several batches of cookies, so I decided these were a great set, due to the various sizes. They turned out to be fabulous!! They worked on several different cookie recipes and were easy to use and clean between batches. I recommend these for any baking--especially cookie baking.
