Henkel quality and efficiency at a great price
Large size fits my hand well while smaller size fits my wife’s perfectly. The thinner blade and “pillows” make slicing and chopping a dream. While the sheet metal blade is not as durable as the sturdier cousin, has a full tang and is great for the price.

Great knives for the price.
Bang for the buck, very nice knife set. Cuts well, very sharp, good handles.

Style, Sharpness
I've owned a set of Henkel knives for years now and find them to be a good brand for the home, holding their edge and reasonably easy to maintain. I liked the style of these knives which did not come with the original set purchased. The knives are rather lightweight but comfortable to handle and prefered for some preparations. The blade is narrow but does not bend in use allowing safe straight cuts. I was surprised however, the pair of knives purchased, were not very sharp in my eyes and required sharpening before use, thus the reason for the 4 stars. I like my knives razor sharp and use wet stones and leather strop or buffing wheel to keep them that way. This is a preference of mine in food preparation and I also hand wash, dry and store these knives horizontally in a wood block soon after use to protect them and prolong the edge.

Very sharp, very inexpensive, very useful.
If these two knives (we took advantage of the 5 and 7 inch Santoku Chef Knife two-for deal) were to fall to pieces the minute after being used until they normally needed honing again to maintain their edge, it pretty much still would have been a great deal! TThe five inch knife is my wife's new go to favorite and I quite like the seven inch knife, which I find almost as good at food prep as our eight inch Henckel-Zwilling chef's knife costing considerably more. If, as I hope and now somewhat expect (after regularly using them both for awhile), the two knives prove to be as easy to keep sharp as their much more expensive, 'pedigreed' eight inch cousin, I think this could be just about the best buy in kitchen knives I've ever made! While I do still consider our eight inch chef's knife to be the best knife we own, to me, the Santoku knife, with it's much straighter edge, actually has some advantages over the 'standard' knife occasionally, particularly with some vegetables. They're very useful kitchen tools that I like quite a bit, and considering how little they cost, my wife and I are very glad to have them.A genuinely "good" knife should, in my opinion, be easy to keep sharp over the course of it's entire lifespan, the length of which should match or exceed my own. Whether that proves to be the case still remains to be seen, but they already have proven themselves useful and valuable additions to our collection of better kitchen tools and I suspect they will remain so for some time to come, hopefully from now on. Already, my wife and I are totally happy with our purchase and given the extremely low cost, I don't really see how we could think this wasn't a great buy, even if, as I jokingly mentioned earlier, they fall to pieces the first time the blades need normal maintenance. We love 'em! :-)

Great purchase!
Great knifes for the price. So far very sturdy and come decently sharp but would definitely recommend using a knife sharpener overtime to keep them sharp enough. Would recommend as good starter knifes!

Lower quality Henkel.
Great price but both knives were totally dull when they arrived. Also, these aren’t the same quality as is typical of Henkel knives. Much thinner spine. But… they’ll do.

Disappointed with the quality. Not worth the hype.
I was really looking forward to these knives after seeing so many positive reviews, but unfortunately, they did not live up to the expectations. The quality is noticeably lower than described, the blades feel flimsy, and they dull quickly with minimal use. I was honestly surprised at how highly rated these are, because my experience has been quite the opposite. To make things worse, I realized the return window had already closed by the time I noticed the issues, so I’m stuck with a product I won’t be using. I definitely won’t be purchasing these knives again and cannot recommend them to others.
