Tower T838005C Sensor Bin with Retainer Ring, Battery-Operated, 50L, Cream

When I read the mixed reviews about this bin, I was a bit unsure but I desperately needed an alternative than hanging a bin bag on my kitchen door. The dog was always getting stuff from it. I don't have much room for a bin in my kitchen so I needed something slimline but large enough for a family of 4 household with a cat and a dog.I have had this bin for a month now and I love it. I really like the fact that it is an automatic close system, so you don't have to touch the bin at all. It is really easy to operate and clean. It fits in a small space and I've turned it so it doesn't sense people walking past it. The sensor seems to be working well and I'm still using the original batteries (these are not included).The only awkward thing is trying to keep the lid open longer. It is possible if you make sure you stand in front of the sensor when emptying stuff into the bin. This will keep it open until you walk away.I would buy this bin again and it was a good price when I purchased it from Amazon.I just need to figure out a way of stopping my dog purposely using his nose to use the sensor to open it! Hahaha!

I do love my new bin it's very sleek looking Stands out against my black tiling, well made & functions perfectly My biggest gripe is my Amazon delivery I'm disabled & specifically ask for parcels to be placed in chosen spit They left this bin with w other on my doorstep!!!! 😡😡😡

A decent quality basic sensor bin, but with a small flaw. The sensor seems to be aimed horizontally and quite low. I have to bend down and wave in front of the bin for it to open. The sensor then can’t see me while I am scraping something off a plate for example and the bin closes on me. The opening and closing mechanism itself seems better than previous sensor bins I have owned. Just a shame that the sensor is not aimed vertically. Maybe would work better for kids, smaller people or those with long arms.

Was a bit dubious seeing the plastic bin, but, it is a really good bin.Had a stainless steel one before and it was so hard to keep clean.Works well on automatic on manually.Easy to clean.

Disappointed, bin looks nice, good size however the sensor has an issue, doesn't work properly, just stops randomly after a few uses, have to turn off & on again. So far had to do this several times already. Not even had a day and batteries are brand new

Nice, clean bin, large capacity, and the sensor works really well so no need to touch the bin with dirty or full hands. So far very pleased.

Not soft close, sound expected.Just plastic, not sturdy especially when it’s not full
