classic and cool
old school ding-dong I painted the wood on ours an antique white and the chimes a oil rubbed bronze to match our home decor classic and classy

Good buy for the price.
I was quite pleased to find something that had a traditional wood appearance without costing a lot of money. The unit was easy to install and connect to wiring. The sound loud, quality was decent with a traditional “ding-dong”.

It's a doorbell alright
It was an exact match for the doorbell I replaced. Easy to install, straightforward in its design. A standard solenoid-based clapper against a metal tube for your classic "ding... dong..." noise.

Is pretty good as a doorbell but must be mounted vertically contrary to instructions
Sounds and looks pretty good and is a pretty good value compared to other wired doorbells. Instructions that came with it are for a different model and indicated it could be mounted either vertically or horizontally. However, this is patently not true...this model can only be mounted vertically for the wood cover to be able to be mounted (it hangs on a tiny little plastic peg at the top edge) and for the doorbell to chime correctly. Very irritating that I now have 4 unnecessary holes in my wall that I must fill and paint over.

does the job
i needed to replace a door bell at my mothers house that stopped working. this was the closest to what she had. the issue with this is how the cover hangs on - hangs by one little plastic pin. also, the screws the give you to mount unit. They give you very small flat head screws versus phillips head screws which tells me this is an old original unit
