This is a great paddle! Ultra light and well balanced. Has plenty of adjustments and can fit any style of paddling. I bought this for my new Wilderness Systems Tarpon 120 and I wanted this paddle to match. I’m super happy with the purchase and the best part is you can paddle for longer distance without getting tired and no shoulder aches!

For something this expensive it should be perfect! The balance of this paddle is way off! When you rest your paddle on your kayak, to say take a picture, and pick it back up the paddle should be ready to stroke. This paddle faces backwards when you pick it up, it balances with back of the fins facing you, so you have to make a constant effort to remember to roll it before you stroke....NOPE!!!

Wilderness System is true to their reputations as a brand name for kayaking. They made an incredible lightweight, strong, adjustable kayak paddle* Build Quality *Superb quality. The carbon fiber finish on the paddle is immaculate. There is an easy system to adjust and secure the paddle length to suits most users. There is a guide length and an indication to the max length you can adjust it. It comes in two pieces and assembly is basically connecting the two pieces using the lock in place system after setting the require length and angle. The blade size is pretty big so might not match all users styles.* Usage *If you haven't use carbon fiber paddles before I warn you it addicting. It's so much comfortable on the hands but still provided you with less effort propulsion with it's large blade size.Overall an excellent paddle, even if you are an occasional user you will no doubt appreciate this paddle even with it's high price tag.

The first thing I noticed when I picked this up was how incredibly lightweight it was. It is almost half the weight of my current 230 cm paddle. The shaft on this is the perfect diameter making it very comfortable to use for longer periods of time. With my current paddle my hands will start to get a little sore after 40 minutes of rowing. With this I was using it over an hour without any issues.Adjusting the length and angle is easy. The shaft is clearly marked to indicate the length as well as the angle. It has a very clark mark indicating the maximum length. The locking mechanism is metal with a strong rubber grommet that is expands inside the second half of the paddle when the lever (carbon fiber) is flipped down. It is very well made and locks into place securely.The blades are flat and provide excellent propulsion while being able to cut the water effortlessly. The paddle is strong and rigid and does not flex during use providing good power transfer.This is an excellent paddle.

Significant upgrade from my inexpensive paddle.Been using a less expensive paddle from a big box store to paddle my solo canoe for a couple of years.After repairing the handle with duct tape, then dealing with the sticky residue when it started to unravel, I decided it was time for an upgrade.Let me tell you, this paddle does not disappoint.I can see now why folks shell out hundreds of dollars for nice paddles. This is kind of middle of the road, quality and comfort wise. Way nicer than my old plastic one, not quite custom.I like it!!!
