Incredible value for money.
I've had a solid acacia ukulele for years and I bought this one for my husband's birthday after hearing some very good things about it. For this price, I was expecting corners to be cut - but no. For a start, they put clear flurocarbon strings on it (I have Worth Clears on mine) and they make it sound incredible. All the joins are immaculate, not even a blob of stray glue. The satin finish is flawless. There are even two strap buttons already fitted (I usually have to fit my own) which was a nice touch. It also comes with loads of extras like a padded gig bag, a strap, a metal tool that looks like it removes bridge pins, an allen key to adjust the truss rod, a wall hanger, a really cheap and nasty lead for an amp (well, you can't have everything!) and five sets of Aquila strings. It has enclosed tuners which seem to function admirably and I compared the built in tuner with my Snark (my uke is acoustic only) and it's pretty accurate! But the sound... absolutely sweet as a nut. In all, I couldn't find anything wrong with it. (The amp leads that come with these things - guitars too - always suck but I've enough good ones of my own.) It's a beautiful, flawless instrument and the clear flurocarbon strings were an unexpected bonus. I expected to have to change what came with it - I really do not like Aquilas and never use them. Pity the spare strings weren't like what was on the instrument but for 95 quid, that's asking a bit much!I'd definitely recommend this ukulele to anyone who wants an inexpensive, good sounding ukulele. And it really IS all solid acacia. I confess, I doubted that considering the price of them nowadays. Excellent instrument, without flaw and it sounds wonderful. There's a video on You Tube if you want to hear how it sounds. Amazing, especially for this price.

Come with spare strings, batteries, protective bag, and other accessories.. great value.
I wanted to get an Electric Ukulele to play with, as I wanted something easier than a guitar to play with. I saw this Ukulele, which came with accessories, and thought it seemed really great value. It came with a nice bag, spare strings, spare batteries, a cheap lead to plug it into an amp. The included strap is good, and can clip straight onto the Ukulele. Also came with 3 plectrums, and a cleaning rag? It's light, but sturdy. For the price I am happy. It's plenty loud without being plugged in , so you can easily practice without and amp.It was easy to tune it with the built in tuner (G C E A from top to bottom)... I printed out a guide from the internet (About the only thing that's not included, but there is plenty online), and was soon playing chords and simple songs.Great fun, and I'm very happy with my purchase.

Absolutely Gorgeous.. much better than expected.
I have guitars and a banjo and bought this so that I could teach my granddaughter on her own new ukulele. Good excuse to buy myself a present. Wow, what a good looking piece of kit. I've seen some poor reviews of Caramel Ukuleles, particularly on YouTube but I can only guess that they have got their act together since.Tuning: The inbuilt tuner came with batteries already fitted (2 x CR2032). The compartment is next to the lead socket and although the carrier goes in both ways round there are only two options so it doesn't take long to workout which way round it goes. I checked the inbuilt tuner against my fairly expensive Korg tuner and it was spot on. I also tried checking on 5th and 12th fret across the strings and again, it was spot on. The strings settled after only a couple of days.Sound: Strumming, it can sound like a typical George Formby strumming across the fret-board, but finger picking it has a lovely almost classical guitar tone. I'm guessing the supplied strings are Aquila Nylgut (106u) but whatever, they are very pleasant. I played around and bought a Worth C-LG clear single unwound low-G (they are double length £6.50 from Amazon) and the tone is absolutely gorgeous.Pros: Looks great, inbuilt tuner works well, nicely padded case with accessory pocket, spare strings, pegs and other bits. Bridge Pegs make changing strings a doddle, holds tuning well. Clean sound through my amp (although I don't really use this as the acoustic has such a good sound, but it is fun using metal and reverb effects on my amp).Cons: Strap buttons aren't fitted, but I guess this gives you a choice. Battery holder can be fitted the wrong way round, buttons and controls are a bit fiddly, but hardly ever used (set and forget and use my amp). Supplied spare strings aren't identified so it takes a bit of time sorting out which is which (might need my eyes testing again). Strange metal thing supplied which I think is a Bridge Pin puller, although I have strong fingernails and haven't tried it out.Summing up: I always start with the 1* reviews on Amazon, then work up. If it turns out to be a heap of do-do you can always send it back, right? I hope this one will be staying with me for a long time.
