Liquid-Plumr Pro-Strength Clog Destroyer Gel with PipeGuard, Liquid Drain Cleaner - 80 Ounces (Package May Vary)

I haven't usually written Amazon reviews for relatively inexpensive, utilitarian items, but this stuff worked so well that I'm offering these comments without Amazon's invitation. I'm not fond of harsh, household chemicals (or adding them to my home's liquid waste stream), so I've previously "cleaned" the drain of my bathroom sink with one of those small, rotatable plastic-rod extractors. They aren't cheap, and after going through a whole package of seven, I recently had to get out a wrench, rubber gloves, and a bucket and remove the drain trap. I cleaned it as best I could, but the outlet line of the trap is close to horizontal, and I didn't have a long plumber's snake. Well, even that effort didn't last long, and the sink would fill to the emergency drain hole as I washed my face as quickly as I could. So, I ordered more plastic reamers and a short plumber's snake, but on impulse bought a bottle of this gel. Because of the ease, I tried it first before planning to remove the trap AGAIN. This stuff cleaned the line amazingly, and now there is NO accumulation of water in the sink while I take my time to wash my face! I won't have to remove the trap again and mess with the snake. I now think this will be my "go to" when needed again. The only downside is that this stuff has a rather acrid, throat-burning odor while one waits for the 15 minutes for it to work before flushing with much running hot water. If one could shut the bathroom door and open a bathroom window while using this, I'd recommend doing so while temporarily exiting the bathroom.

I've let my sink slowly get worse and worse draining, to where I knew I had an issue. I did a couple applications of this, the first one being to just get it to allow any water down faster, and then the second one to really finish it off.This stuff is like a gel. Water didn't really go down my drain that well, but this gel just pulled itself down into there perfectly. I let it sit as the instructions say and then gave it some scalding hot water that my faucet outputs. It took two 'applications' over a couple days, but I'm extremely happy and still have a lot left for next time it happens.Now, it's draining better than I can ever remember. It's making the sucking sound it's pulling down the water so fast lol.

Worked ok, but I found cheaper lesser brand products that worked better for less money.

Awesome!!! Recently moved and new drains have been awful! Followed the easy instructions and drains were unclogged in under 30 minutes! So happy to have everything flowing as needed!! Also like that this product is safe for numerous types of piping! Especially for rental- if don’t know all the piping specifics, can feel confident this won’t cause damage.

This is truly liquid Gold, they cleaned my kitchen pipe, I cannot believe when I heard this sound in the pipe that told me everything was fine. I flushed everything down with hot water boiling hot water. This stuff is great, I made three other purchases of something else, but this is my first choice and I'm glad I came back to it because this is what cleared out my kitchen sink that was clogged up for over a week. This stuff is great I've already made two more purchases to have under my sink. The smell is nice it's not pungent,this is as advertised it worked perfectly removed the clog.

This product actually does what it claims. We have an older house that has pipes that get clogged more often than some. It’s good to have something that opens those clogs within minutes.

You only get about 7 or so uses, and since I didn't have a clog, hoped it would get very slow drains to clean up. No difference after 2 use,.not enough left for another round. Will be trying something else!
