INSL-XTuffCrete Waterborne Acrylic Concrete Stain Paint, Clear, 1 Gallon, 128 Fl Oz (Pack of 1)

This is an amazing product! I’ve never stained concrete before but Tuffcrete made it so easy.I’m building a house that will be a rental property and opted for stained concrete floors because they’re renter friendly and inexpensive. This was new concrete, poured about three months prior to staining, so I didn’t have to etch or grind. I did vacuum (shop vac) the floors and then washed them (garden hose with Dawn dish detergent, and vacuumed up the water).I chose a water based stain because I wanted lighter colors than you can get from acid stain. Acid staining also had extra steps of neutralizing and washing the stain. I did these floors by myself so I wanted to minimize the work.I was going for a random look so I wanted to spray the floors as opposed to using a roller. I had problems with sprayers. First I tried a pump sprayer that you would use to kill weeds. I diluted the stain with 20% water (about 26 oz of water for each gallon) and it still clogged the sprayer up. Next I tried a corded paint sprayer, which was a nightmare with the electrical cord to the sprayer and a hose from the sprayer to the trigger. I spent more time moving and wrestling cords than I did spraying. Finally I got a cordless paint sprayer from Wagner which was significantly easier and faster. The only issue was the battery doesn’t last long, so get at least 2 batteries!One of the reasons I chose Tuffcrete is because they said it is self-priming and self-sealing. And it really is! I was thrilled to avoid two extra steps in the process. I also love that I won’t have to etch or grind this stain in the future because there’s no heavy sealer. I can just apply the same product on top of this as needed.I used Tintable White and Desert Sand. I did two coats of the white to give the floors a solid base then one light coat of sand for a little bit of contrast. I diluted the stain with 20% water each time. I used about 2 gallons of white stain for one coat on about 1,550sf of floor. And 1 gallon of sand for the lighter coat on top.The attached pictures show the original bare floor, two coats of white, and the finished floors.Hope this helps you!

This seemed to work well for painting sections of stucco repairs that were not well color matched. The color is a light gray. I mixed with gray concrete dye until I got the shade of gray to match. Comes with a can opener and stirring stick that you will need as the pigment was very thick at bottom of can. Once mixed it seem like a thin paint than a stain.

Amazing packaging! Sort of more blue color than gray to be honest. Also more of a paint and not a stain. Went on well and made my front walkway look fresh for 1/100th of the price to replace.

We had an ugly textured pool deck that is subject to high UV damage daily. We consulted with an expert exterior painter, and he said this was the product he uses. It covered the patching I did to the pool deck (chips, cracks etc) and they are completely hidden. The product went on thin, so it's easy to work with. It dried rapidly, so it was easy with our hot weather to do 2 coats in a day. We did the 1st coat, and sprinkled sand on the top to give a non slip texture. Excellent and durable product!

This works so well on concrete walls as well as floors but you do have to mix the stain very well. It comes separated from the paint and I thought it was too thin. It was not too thin but was perfect once I mixed it well and worked so nicely!

We had an eyesore of a patio, with super textured, different colored cement pavers, missing grout, and cracks. We wanted to attempt to paint them to see if we could live with it before replacing it all ($$$). Our patio is about 320 SF and I was only able to get one coat down from the 2 gallons I purchased, but I think that is mainly because of how textured it is and how much I had to go back and push more product into the cracks and crevices of the pavers. I was going to purchase a 3rd gallon for the second coat and I think the 3rd would have covered the entire patio since we didn't have to worry about re-coating the cracks again, just the main surface, but I am satisfied with how one coat looks, especially when the patio furniture covers a lot of it.We have had this paint down for about 1.5 months and it still looks great. Not wearing at all. My husband did put the fire pit bowl DIRECTLY on the pavers not thinking (without the fire pit stand, so that a grill grate would fit on it) and it left an area of discoloration, but this isn't rated for heat so no surprises there. It wasn't bad enough to try to touch up with paint.

This is much darker than anticipated.

We had a flood last year that destroyed the basement. We talked about flooring and everything was so expensive. We decided to try the paint and it worked great! My husband is a painter and he said the paint went further than he had expected and was very easy to roll out.
