DSLR Hotshoe Mount Adapter for GoPro Hero

Don't know what other people are complaining about, this works perfectly for me and is very stable. I was able to tighten it no problem and it stayed tight over the course of a 4-hour whale-watching excursion on a relatively small boat.One thing to think about, the sound of the focusing and shutter are transmitted through the adapter into the frame of the GoPro and are picked up by the microphone to the point that they are unnaturally loud. Not sure what can be done to address that, but it was an issue for me.

It did what I expected it to do: hold a small video camera (like a GoPro) in place on top of my DSLR. It is made of plastic, but for the money that's what you get. It's everything I thought it would be.

Simple and effective

The quality overall is decent, however I wasn’t able to fit it into the shoe mount because the thread for the rotating part isn’t high enough to fit over some mounts. Will have to return.

The plastic tines were leaning into each other. Pinched in a way where it was hard to connect the GoPro side. Using a knife I very gently put some pressure to bend it open enough to get it connected to the GoPro. The hot shoe aside was fine.

Great adapter and was exactly what I needed! I liked how it also has tripod mount as well a hot shot mount. Now I can leave it attached to my go pro pretty much all the time.

For the price I thought it would be a cheap plastic waste of money. But once I took it out of the package I noticed it has a really nice weight to it, and it durable. Fits on top on my DSLR nicely and locks into place easily with the tightening ring! awesome product! I will order another if/when I lose this one!!

So I bought this to mount my GoPro on my Nikon DSLR and first time out with it the hot shoe plate broke away from the rest of the mount after tightening it slightly. Luckily it came with a back up which I used for about another 3 events before it did the same thing.
