Easy to use and flexible

I love the variable NDR because of it's flexibility. It's easy to see how much light you are filtering with the markings on the filter. Installation is simple. You simply screw it into place and you are ready to take those long exposure shots. I had no issues with the fit and find it easy to keep clean, like any of my other filters. I try to be kind to my filters, but I'm not perfect. I haven't noticed any issues with scratching and dust removes easily.

Works as described. Can't use lens hood with this filter.

Works exactly as described, but the outer ring (ND portion) of this filter is just wide enough to keep from using the lens hood. I rarely use my lenses without the hood they came with, but will have to do so every time I want to use this filter.

Wonderful shots using this filter on a fairly intelligent camera

I love this variable filter that I use on my Nikon D5600 DSLR. I’m an amateur photographer, kind a “B-minus” student on the technical side of things. But, I do enjoy, and am getting fairly good at, various long-exposure techniques including ICM, which can lead to blown-out/too brightly-exposed sunny outdoor shots. Learned about ND filters in my photography class. Apparently, you can take your shutter speed and aperture settings and pump them through an algorithm to determine where to set your ND filter, or which non-variable filter to use. Too complicated for me. When I set my exposure length and aperture settings with the ND filter at its “Min” setting, then point my camera at a sunlit subject, my camera will flash “Subject Too Bright”. I just start slowly rotating the variable ND filter’s ring toward “Max”. As soon as that “Subject Too Bright” message goes away, I know it’s OK to release the shutter. Perfectly exposed shot every time with this inexpensive variable ND filter.

MIN and MAX labelling reversed on 77mm and 82mm

I got the 77mm and the 82mm and as far as budget VNDs go they're decent. But why on earth would you label them this way? On the 82mm MIN is the lightest point and MAX is the darkest. It's the exact opposite on the 77mm. Why??
