OtterBox DEFENDER SERIES Case for iPhone Xs Max BLACK | SCREENLESS, Retail Packaging

The OtterBox Defender phone case has been a favorite of mine for many years. I have owned so many different makes and models of cell phones from IPhones to many Androids and all have been installed within this brand of case. If you are looking for the best protection and durability and phone convenience, then look no further than this case. It is well worth every dollar you will spend for such an investment for your expensive phone.

This is my second Otter case. It protected my phone from many drops and general abuse.

I recently upgraded my iPhone 4S to the XS Max, and I needed a protective case. My brother-in-law introduced me to OtterBox when I purchased the 4S, as I needed a heavy duty case while working in construction. When I find a brand that I like, I tend to stick with it, so I purchased another Defender Series case for my new investment.Let me just say, what an improvement from the previous case! First of all, the outer material that the case is made from is MUCH more durable than my previous one, although I have only had it for a short time. The previous material was much too soft, ended up tearing, and I needed to purchase a replacement that ended up being superior than the original! I don't see that problem happening with the new one, as the material feels very high quality and has good grip to it.Also, everyone ends up buying screen protection when they get a new phone, and my previous OtterBox had it built in to the case itself, which ended up being not as good as the one that I purchased.The NEW DEFENDER SERIES Case comes with NO SCREEN PROTECTION. This is a PLUS! Buy your OWN screen protectors, which typically come as a 3 pack. Now, if the screen protection gets abused/damaged, simply change it out for a new one! You are no longer married to screen protection permanently attached to the case, and unable to be changed out in the event of damages! I highly recommend this product!

Would have been 5 stars except that it came without instructions. It did give a web address for instructions but that only had a message that said "we must have moved" with no forwarding address. I did find instructions on U-Tube tho. The product itself is perfect and just like my old OtterBox except this new one has an "apple window" on the back.

This is the most durable and protective case! I bought this for my son’s iPhone. He is accident and drop prone and the case has saved his phone multiple times. The touchscreen works perfectly with no lag or excessive pressure needed.

Just received my case, two days before the iPhone XS and XS Max drop. Purchased the retail packaging, and like every other OtterBox Defender I've purchased in the past, this appears to be a quality product. I must have received one of their earliest stock, as my packaging says, "for New iPhone Large," so it was most likely produced before they settled on the XS Max, since there was speculation it might be called the XS Plus. Pretty neat! I'll definitely keep the packaging as a result.Be advised: this case does NOT have a built-in screen protector. From what the inner lining states, this is due to the curved nature of the front glass of the new iPhone. So if you want a screen protector, you'll either need to invest in their Alpha Glass series of screen protectors, or try giving a third-party product a shot. Some may fit with the case, some may not; OtterBox has already stated they don't test third-party screen protectors, but they didn't say they wouldn't work either. It'll be one of those "your mileage may vary" situations.
