We have an issue between 2 of our rescue woofers whenever we come home. So, for us a gate across our kitchen door really was the only option available when we went out of the house, to keep 1 of these woofers away from each other on our return. This gate with it's extended height was just perfect, so we grabbed one. arrived the next day and was very well packed with good assy instructions included.For us, we had to reverse the door swing from that supplied, but with the instructions it was not an issue.You will need to carefully check the width of any door or stair that you intend to fix these to, as these are made to fit their stated fix dimensions.Very easy to fit together once assembled, and the build quality and strength is first class, so is the product finish.All in all a truly great product that has worked for us.

I bought this as a dog gate to stop my dog following me up the stairs, although in the end because of the structure of my stairs are used it as a kitchen gate to keep him in the kitchen when I went upstairs. I was very sceptical about whether or not a pressure gauge of this type would be sturdy enough to keep him secure, as he is a big muscular dog and weighs 35 kg. First time I went upstairs after I installed it I heard him banging against it but it states solid. The only thing I would say about it is that you do have to be a little bit careful of the bottom rail which if you don’t have your wits about you can be a bit of a trip hazard. I suspect this would be more difficult on the stairs. In addition it only seems to open one way, which again might not suit your needs. Overall though, it is a well-made, sturdy aesthetically pleasing gate and I would recommend it

I bought this product solely for the purpose of having a little control in my house, I have a 3 year old who can climb over standard size baby gates with ease and likes to run all over the house, he has already fallen on the stairs 3 times. So I saw this advertised and thought yes, a higher gate should prevent him climbing. Installation was easy, and was up an ready to go in minutes. However, My son ever up for a challenge, was able to open this gate at the first attempt, even came running to tell me what he'd done, despite this being marketed as a pet and child gate...(that's where the false advertising comes into effect) I would surmise that this product is only suitable for pets and not children. I would not recommend this to anyone who has a child aged 2 or above, It was far too easy to open, and honestly any pet, say a dog for example only has to apply a little pressure and the latch looks like it would snap anyway.Packaging and delivery fine, but not even close to a good product. wouldn't even recommend this for the skip. useless...

Arrived a day early which was great! Instruction sheet very minimal so alot of guess work needed but so EASY to put up. Had it assembled in 8 minutes, can shake it if you pull hard, but it wont budge from position! 4 small areas of contact with the walls using sticky pads perfect not to mess up the paint work. Still getting to grips with how the door latch works but definitely only needs 1 hand. Looks sleek and expensive. Great width as my 8 week staffy cant get through the bars. Alot taller than expected! Definitely high enough that a full grown staffy couldnt get over.

superb item and would not hesitate to recommend, normal child gate was leapt over, this has held my large Dogue de Bordeaux in place since it was purchased if you need to kept your dog in a particular area this is the gate to get. A 6 star rating

This gate Is good value and works fine for a competitive price as long as you take care with installation! ,definately recommend buying a set of Pressure wall savers with this for about £8 if your wall to wall .otherwise slippage will be an issue as we found.Mine is now fitted in the outside of an internal door frame frame without the pads and works fine ,because any pressure on it pushes against the door frame ,rendering it impossible to dislodge from your pets point of view for getting into the room,so check your door frame for suitability if you cant go wall to wall

Brilliant pet gate - nice and high - even for Whippets and bouncy hounds. Nice and sturdy and never had an issue with the catch - but then you use it carefully like anything! If you slam it around and are rought with the catch it may well break. We have one which we didn't want to use the sticky pads or drill into the door frame to secure it as we occasionally need to move it to another location. However, even when it has been knocked by accident and the gate shifts from the frame the catch doesn;t fall to pieces (I don't quite understand how it could its all one unit - unless faulty from the start!) you just have to push the gate back into position and tighten up the adjuster wheels - the catch then fits back to it's position. Was worried at first when moving it due to some of the comments posted and we used a cable tie to keep it in it's complete position - but it's not really needed if you forget - just needs a bit more effort and adjustment to put it back in place.

I needed a method of segregating two female cats to prevent them fighting, keeping one up stairs and the other down. I needed something which was high enough for them not to jump over, was easy enough for me to get through, easy to install and which did not require permanent fixture.My amazing Fiancée bought me one of these and hit all of those requirements in one fell swoop.It was incredibly easy to install, even with one of the extension sides, and it was up and being used within minutes of my opening the box. It fitted the space at the top of the stairs perfectly and blends in nicely with the white balustrade.I wasn't 100% certain that it would be tall enough to prevent one of the cats from jumping over, but sure enough, nearly a week on and we are, thus far without incident!The safety catch has a nice two stage feature which requires a thumb push and a trigger pull. This means that unless the cats suddenly grow opposable thumbs there will definitely be no more fur flying.Hurrah!I would definitely recommend this product.
