Will Work with FireTV Remote
Bought this Soundbar for my son's Bedroom FireTV (Insignia 43" F30 series 4K)... his TV is on a VESA stand, so I needed to elevate the soundbar a bit and used Silicone Hemisphere Bumpers underneath the soundbar to elevate it over the VESA base. For setup, it has options for HDMI/ARC and Digital Optical... I wasn't sure which I would use in the end, I started with HDMI/ARC and that worked just fine so I didn't try the Digital Optical (though I'm sure that would work too). There seems to be a lot of confusion on if the Soundbar will work with the TV remote... most people in the reviews say it does not, and maybe that's true for some/alot of setups, but I was able to get the soundbar to work with my FireTV remote, so well in-fact, I never even used the remote that came with the soundbar once.On a FireTV, under "Displays & Sounds" turn off the TV speakers and set sound output to "HDMI/ARC" and audio format to "PCM". Then, under Equipment control, add your soundbar here, and for the manufacturer you won't find Saiyin, but you WILL find "Meidong". Set your soundbar to Meidong and the HDMI/ARC sound and remote will all operate fine with the soundbar.Once again, all functions of the soundbar, turning on, turning off (in-sync with the FireTV) and volume up/down functions work fine with the FireTV remote. The sound was way better with the soundbar, and bass much... well "bassier" by just adding this Saiyin soundbar. My teenage boy, who is hard to crack a smile actually cracked one after I played his music on the soundbar from YouTube... he was very happy with the end product, and can control everything with just his FireTV remote.Post EditAfter using the soundbar with above HDMI/ARC setup, I had strange, unexplainable "sound off" issues, that just randomly happened several times in a day where sound just stopped working and the only fix was to turn the TV on and off again. Couldn't figure out why, but since HDMI/ARC uses the ever-so-wonky CEC standard, I blamed CEC and just switched the connection to Digital Optical to remove CEC as a possible culprit... and it worked! No more strange sound stopping, FireTV remote does operate the soundbar using Digital Optical... the only difference I could tell between using HDMI/ARC and Digital Optical is the sound volume number doesn't appear on the TV using Digital Optical, where it does show using HDMI/ARC.I'd still recommend trying HDMI/ARC first, I may have just had an oddity happen on my end... i could have tried a different cable or fudged with the options to get it right, but I just shrugged and changed to Digital Optical almost out of curiosity and that worked just fine. I still give 5 out of 5, great soundbar for the price and does work with our FireTV remote... still never once touched the included soundbar remote for either HDMI or Optical setups!

Go ahead and grab this one!
So far so good. It’s a wired system. I love the fact that the speakers can be separate. The cords are long enough to where they reach across my entertainment center. It was a pretty easy install. The sound is decent for the price. If you’re not looking to spend a lot of money on a sound system for your TV, go ahead and grab this one. You won’t be disappointed.

Awesome boost in volume and clarity.
This was a great purchase for us. Bought a new Fire TV but was disappointed in the sound.Turns out most TVs now are weak on audio for a lot of 'weak' reasons. By weak I specifically mean difficulty in making out dialogue to the point where my Mom had to turn on and use subtitles despite not being aurally impaired (apart from age decline).Enter this soundbar. Instantly improved clarity. Also literally 3x the max volume and more dynamic range. Some notes:-Though it comes with its own remote (no AAA batteries) you can in TV Settings add the bar as a Bluetooth device. Fire TV and others have a Bluetooth transmitter --- some tv's only have a receiver. You turn up the sb on the remote, then connect tv to sb. Now you can control volume with your TV remote! The sb remote still works btw which is handy to adjust volume from somewhere else wo taking your TV remote.- Do you need a sb if you have some powered computer speakers? They will work using the Headphone jack but only put out about 10-30W whereas the sb is 100w. (I know there's more to sound than that but keeping it simple). I tried it both ways and found the computer speakers way underpowered. I felt the sb performed better via optical cable hookup.- Some feel that hooking the sb via optical cable is old tech and HDMI arc is better - which this sb doesn't support. I found it more than adequate via OC.- Limited settings: you can't adjust for treble or bass. The sb has its own equalizer that you can't override.- Dolby and Surround is also disabled same reason.- The sb has a subwoofer out port which may be a good separate purchase add-on for some. By separating the bass out of the main sb, you may get even better dialogue clarity or separation since bass muddies overall sound if not properly managed. You can only control the subwoofer using the sb remote.- I found that I have to frequently adjust the volume while watching as it goes to loud - soundtrack music e.g.- then soft - conversation. An auto loudness control feature would be a great improvement for next gen models. You can try to modify sound settings before you add in the SB. Once you match with the SB you aren't able to make any audio setting changes except bluetooth delay. In my case it didn't seem to make a difference even though I left TV Speakers on.- The printed directions are almost microscopic. I don't get at all why makers cheap out on this. Its such an obviously good idea to have large, clear, diagrammed, well written instructions and cheap to do.- The sb automatically connects to Bluetooth when you turn tv on - which is nice.
