Better than GoPro!
Bested my GoPro 12 easily. Much nicer dim light recording. I also bought the DJI Action Mic 2 pack and am really enjoying the combo. Software is good too. Best part of all, it doesn't power off due to overheat on simple recoding indoors like my GoPro12 did. I'm really happy with this little action camera.

Brilliantly Designed and a Joy to Use
I'm really impressed with this little camera! It's easy to use, the front screen is brilliant -- cleverly designed and super practical. The overall build feels solid and dependable and the video quality is better than I expected from this camera. The battery life is outstanding. Orientation controls for shooting vertical vs. horizontal video work exactly as on most phones, which is cool -- no need to go digging through menus to switch to vertical or upside-down video. What really surprised me was the ability to shoot in D-Log. I wasn’t expecting a professional-grade feature like that in this camera. I love being able to handle color-grading in post.

More capable than expected, great P/P especially at prices it often goes on sale for!
I get this over the other brand #13 after too many youtube comparison. It isn't better in all aspects but in most. ONE battery is sufficient if you're not shooting professional content all day, and it charges very FAST, barely warm up that one time I accidentally hit record for an hour and forgot to turn it off in jacket pocket. OLED is a welcome upgrade, very visible even in brightest sunlight. Build is solid w rubberized texture. I'm only concern about the ports waterproof capability since they're quite easy to open. DJI Mimo makes it easy to connect and monitor for framing, exposure,...For accessories just get some ND/PL from K&F to achieve that blur at lower shutter and some mount, magnet quick release for the car/bike and you're set to record your joy ride.

Camera will not work without a compatible smart phone
BUYER BEWARE: Device is soft locked (software locked) out of the box. Meaning, unless you OWN or have ACCESS to one of the mobile phone listed on it's very short list of DJI Mimo app compatible phones, the CAMERA WILL NOT WORK. The camera requires a one time activation before it can be used and the only way to do this is via the DJI Mimo app installed on one of the few phones that support it. This application is not available on PlayStore so Android users must download the APK from DJIs website and install it manually. If your phone isn't on the compatible list, you can try to install any way but it did not work for me. Thankfully, I have a friend whose phone is on the list but until we meet up to try and activate, I essentially spent over $500 on a useless, dead piece of electronics."Well, it's only needed for activation" There are a ton of ways to activate a device/product. Like, I don't know, how about using one of the two touch screens on the camera itself to connect to wifi and activate it that way? Or, use the USB C cable to plug it into a laptop or desktop computer? No, the only way is side loading an application onto one of 30 compatible phones otherwise the device is DOA."Well, the app is needed to update the cameras firmware" Same response above applies.I shouldn't have to google, youtube and reddit search my options on how to get the device unlocked. It is a crappy user experience that just makes me wish I went with GoPro or Insta360 instead.

Should you get a GoPro or a DJI?
This is probably the best action camera available. Far superior to the latest GoPro. Great battery life, will not overheat, and the audio quality is actually quite good.

Love the camera but you'll need lots of YouTube or other source vids to make the right settings
Bought this for SCUBA, got good videos down to 100 feet (but most need further editing). Camera is waterproof on its own to a certain depth (but much shallower than many of my dives), so I bought a compatible housing for extra security. Worth it for peace of mind.Documentation that comes with the camera re: settings (and there are many) isn't too helpful, so you'll probably need to watch a bunch of YouTube videos for help.Good battery life (depends on your settings for recording), very fast USB charging. You must download and use the DJI Mimo app and pair it with your phone's bluetooth to keep using the camera more than a few times. There are security concerns over the app because DJI is a Chinese company. Android app on Google Play was removed because of security issues (you get the app directly from DJI's web site. iOS App Store has the app, I used it and am not too worried re: security. Mimo app includes some ability to edit and organize videos/photos, but it's not very robust. One thing I INTENSELY dislike is the file names assigned to each video (I didn't shoot any still photos): they are extremely long and complicated, and so far I haven't found an easy way to change/customize the file names.

Great little action cam!
Great action camera for my use cases. I tend to record drone footage from different areas as well as from the drone itself. I also use this when out on the motorcycle to capture some of rides. It's easy to use, haven't had charging or heating issues like I do with my GoPro. The quality of the videos is awesome. You could say I'm a happy owner. If I had a complaint, it would be that I wished it came with a lens cap for when I throw it in the backpack.
