Ah, the classic Pentel Sharp mechancial pencils... so familiar, like a wonderful pair of old jeans. I've used the 0.5 version of this pencil (and the similar Sakura mechancial pencil) since I was 12 years old... so many drawings, so many notes in school and college. Over the years my mechanical pencil collection has grown and expended but I always smile when I see one of my old Sharps in my pencil box (a wooden cedar cigar box -- appropriate for pencils of various kinds). So when I saw this limited edition collection of the classic Sharps BUT done in classic Kimono colors -- this pencil nerd had to have it! I love the colors! I love the pencil shape. they bring me joy to see. And if you get a set, you'll enjoy using them, these pencils are simple and just work without a bunch of fuss.

Great set to add to the collection. Pentel has made the best mechanical pencils for years.

A really sweet little set! Love the colors, they add a nice touch. Packaging could have been better, these are expensive, they were all floating around because no bubble wrap. Art supplies are precious, they should be treated as such.

It came in a nice collector's box which was nice as it was a gift for a student of mine. Very classy...the only thing missing was a little bit of extra lead to get started. Very nice set, delivered quickly and intact.

they bring me back to that quality feel of the pencils my dad used when I was just a kid. This color way has a nice refined modern flair adding to the classic design of these mechanical pencils.

These are easily some of my most prized and useful pencils now. I keep them in their box, but each one serves its role when I need it. I adore them.

There is a problem with the Pentel P203 pencil that I recently received. I ordered the 4-pencil set because I wanted to try out the Pentel P203 pencil and I also needed some backup pencils. The backup pencils work fine. THEWRITEEXPRESSION company sent me a replacement P203 pencil that works perfectly. I greatly appreciate this. In addition, the company provided two samples of other writing devices that I knew nothing about. These samples have proven to be --- truly exceptional. Needless to say, THEWRITEEXPRESSION company has made a very positive impression with me! A good job. Steve Tippett

These work just fine, exactly like a Pentel P2 should, but these “Limited Edition” pencils have plastic housings whereas the normal ones have a metal housing. I have big hands, and these are relatively thin pencils, so the decrease in weight from the regular P2 pencils is a bit jarring. They are great pencils nonetheless. I would not recommend this set, it’s not worth the money in my opinion.
