Q: Does the paper pull the oils out of the paint and does paint thinner affect the paper?

The paper is not absorbant. Thinner does not affect it. You can wipe off the paint and reuse the paper a few times too.

Q: Can I use each sheet more than once?

Oils or acrylics do not run through to the back of the sheets. You can certainly use each sheet more than once, but it would be hard to scrape paint off the sheet once it's completely dry. I cover my oils with saran if leaving for extended hours and can pick up where I left off later without problems.

Q: is the shape a rectangle or a palette shape like the picture shows?

It's a rectangular pad. I like the 12" x 16" size that fits inside my Masterson palette box. Now that you mention it, it does seem weird that the photo shows a traditional palette shape.

Q: In the picture it shows it has hand and finger hole the one i got does not?

It says it is 12x16" grey palette sheets but the picture is the shape of a wooden palette. It does not say palette shaped with a thumb hole. Mine were the rectangle shape and size 12x16
