Be careful when ordering outside of the US. Initial setup requires a US phone number and location to activate. The bridge doesn't work because it's based on geographical location. It is a nice door lock once you get pass the initial setup and being ok with half the features if you're not located in the US. I'd go with Eufy smart lock (previously owed) personally if I had to purchase another smart lock.

Easy install and I didn't have to change keys for the deadbolt. First one had a bad bluetooth chip but the replacement is working great so far! App could work a little faster but other than that we have enjoyed the benefits of remote locking and unlocking. Also means I can create entryway for visitors like dog walkers and relatives.

I was scouring the internet for a smart lock that both didn't use a keypad/fingerprint and still let me use the same keys. This was exactly the answer! They were easy to install, easy to setup, integrated smoothly into my Google assistant, AND they look sharp!My only gripe is with the WiFi bridge that comes with it. In order to work in further than Bluetooth range, the lock needs to connect to this bridge; which act as a middleman to connect it to the WiFi.This would normally be fine, my main issue is that the bridge only works for one lock... So, if you have multiple then toy needs bridges for each one OR I think you can buy an upgraded bridge that can handle multiple devices. However, that step just seems like overkill to me.This single complaint is not enough to get me to return it; or even to stop me from buying another. Just something to take into account because you could run out of outlets fast!

Installation was straightforward, anbd the build quality seems to be significantly better than other similar devices from other manufacturers. I think this is the benefit of buying a lock from a lock company, instead of an electronics company. The app does everything I need, and the door position sensor is an added bonus. Just be aware that this is not compatible with double-cylinder locks (a key lock on both the inside and outside); this is clearly stated but I didn't notice it. The solution was to take out the double-cylinder lock (I actually left the bolt in the door), then install the exterior lock from a standard thumb-turn deadbolt lock kit, and then install the Yale device on the inside. This all only took a minute and cost $15.

The media could not be loaded. Update after 2 months: No feedback or software firmware update from /August/Yale to address the issue. The app guided me through each step with helpful video aids, and it worked seamlessly with my smart home system—until I came home to a door wide open. With a new front door and door frame in winter, things were shifting. When the deadbolt misaligned, the lock attempted to secure the door repeatedly, only to stop midway and falsely report it as locked. Thankfully, when we returned to an open door, everyone was safe, including our pets. However, this incident left me unable to rely solely on the lock when I am not at home. I always ensure to lock the door manually now and set up additional cameras to be sure. Until this issue is resolved, it might be wise to explore other options. After all, peace of mind... my home is my castle...

I purchased 3 of these to work with home assistant. I am using a esp32 Bluetooth proxy to control these. Be sure to set them up with the WiFi hub first so that the key can transfer to the account. Then you can set it up with the august or Yale integration and remove the wifi hub. Works great!
