Unmatched performance and coverage from a single access point
The UniFi 7 Pro has completely leveled up my home network. I’m covering a two thousand square foot house, including the second floor, with no dead spots and no need for additional access points. Speeds are fast and stable no matter where I am.This is classic Ubiquiti quality. Rock solid once set up, with deep customization if you want to dive in.One quick tip for anyone running smart home devices. Segment your IOT gear. A lot of those older devices do not play well with newer WiFi standards. I created a dedicated two point four gigahertz WPA2 SSID for them and they have been solid ever since. If you want powerful coverage with pro-grade controls and minimal hardware, this is the one.

Glad I Made the Leap from the U6 Pro
No connectivity issues on any band and fits my old U6 Pro ceiling mount. It's also ridiculously fast.

Big improvement!
I upgraded to these from a pair of UAP-AC-PROs.The construction has improved dramatically with the base of the unit now being metal instead of plastic., the inclusion of a fingerprint shield for istallation is a nice touch, the metal mount makes the AP not as snug to the ceiling while providing a secure fit, allowing the cable to not kink as much. The kit also includes an mounting key (flat L shaped piece of metal) which is a godsend of a tool i wish they would have included years ago. the light is nice and bright and it has that same clean look that is all too familiar but overall improved. If you know what you're doing, this would be an epic upgrade for your home. Having more than one in your home will enable better optimization too as it will utilize both APs to find the best channels. once set up properly and optimized this improved my stability substantially and it increased my wifi speeds by a factor of 9x. I was even getting a solid connection at the neighbors house!Paired with the server software These also offer really nice security functions such as packet capture and better insight to device troubles, and advanced rogue AP protection and even a free, very functional guest portal for guests that allows use of vouchers instead of handing out passwords. Finally, this equipment did not require a huge upgrade of core equipment, as my existing switches were able to easily power these switches over poe+ with poe real estate to spare. Just keep in mind if you're buying these for the first time they don't come with the injectors, and they need poe+ so the older poe injectors won't work on them. Take care in acquiring these. The cons:These do run a bit warm, even with an internal fan. I recommend using the metal mount over existing plastic as it improves air flow and keeps that heat off the sheet rock and helps dissipate it.The fan... these units are not serviceable without voiding warranty. If the fan starts buzzing or goes out, better hope warranty covers it! A serviceable fan would be nice in the future. The finish: i love the look of these, but they will attract grease and dirt if mounted in the kitchen and the finish is similar.to the old ones and I found them hard to clean. The price: the price on the APs ubiquiti offershas spiked substantially, but keep in mind their quality has also spiked too.Overall I love these products and they are a powerful upgrade if you can fork out the price. Been using ubiquiti for many years now and as long as you configure and install these properly you really can't go wrong with them!

Seamless upgrade from u6 pros.
Super easy upgrade from u6 pros. Swapped one out in less than 10 minutes. They do take a tad bit longer to come up on config changes, but so far they are doing excellent. (4 months ) iPhone 15 pros able to get almost same as wired gb on 1gb fiber. The main reason I wanted was it supported a 2.5 gb back bone. Makes a huge difference. Especially if you connect any higher end 4k streaming players like Apple TV HD or nvidia shield pro to media servers like plex. Finally can use wifi without buffering.I have 2 of these in the house plus 2 u6 lites for a dead spot (office) and in the garage .UniFi is amazing. I'll never prob go back to other solutions.

Works great
Seems to work good, no problems so far, only had it a couple of weeks. Puts out enough signal to cover a 40x60 shop.

Great AP
Increased distance considerably. Don’t notice any increase in speed from my older ceiling mount Ubiquiti AP

Good hardware but terrible support - longtime Ubiquiti customer
I have had Unifi access points in my home for many years now and despite the clunky software designed for large-scale enterprise systems, I have continually updated the hardware over the year as improvements have come out. In the past I have found the support to be excellent.I thought I would just take this out of the box, plug it into my Ubiquiti poe injector, adopt it on the controller and be good to go. Haha wrong. First off, this uses a 60 watt standard called POE+, so the old injectors that powered earlier Unifi access points do not work. No problem I thought, I'll just order a new one, which I did.It booted up and I adopted it, only to find that the WIFI 6, which is the entire reason I bought this, was disabled by default (why?) and has to be enabled through the controller software. However, I kept getting an error when I tried to enable it, and nothing would fix that. 3 hours later with online support chat that was laughably bad, I finally decided to delete the wifi network and start and new one with the same SSID and that let me enable WIFI 6.I compare this to my EERO 6e at my weekend home which took about 3 minutes to setup.I am getting gigabit up and down on wifi, so I'm happy with that, but I am really concerned that in the future if I need help from Ubiquiti, I am on my own. Their support has moved into the mediocre category and is beyond bad at this point.Buyer beware....
