Good Overall Set
I am a chemistry teacher and overall I liked this set. These are all pretty standard experiments that you could google and do with household items. However, it's nice to have these in a set. My kids ages 8, 6, and 3 were interested in these experiments and did them with my supervision. We haven't done all the experiments yet, just some and they've been successful so far.The good things about this set are as follows: The beakers, tubes, pipets are just like I use in my own lab - except this set is plastic rather than glass. That gives the kids a feeling like they are really doing science as opposed to playing with kitchen chemicals. Many of the experiments listed are color changing or otherwise very visual in nature. The directions are okay. You can easily google most of these experiments so if something isn't clear, it's easy enough to find. However, the manual should just be proofread again. There are missing words, and some errors in it. For example, my kit didn't have "wash powder" which I assumed they meant baking soda. There are multiple issues like that. For each experiment, the manual has a brief explanation of the scientific principle and it is very brief. What you need to know is that any liquids needed for the experiments (excluding food coloring) must be self-supplied. So the user must supply vinegar, water, cooking oil, dish soap, etc. Some of the chemicals are used in multiple experiments but the bags are not resealable. So if you don't want to do everything all at once - be prepared with ziplock bags or you'll end up with a mess. I'm also not sure if you really have enough of the materials to do ALL of the experiments. You may want to add more baking soda for example.Adding a graduated cylinder would improve the quality of this kit.And as a scientist who cares about safety, I think including candy in a science kit is ridiculous. We want to teach students NOT to eat or drink when doing science experiments and putting candy in there achieves the opposite. My kids kept wanting to eat the experiments. That being said, the kit is overall a good one and will keep your kids busy for a few hours. I would purchase it again.

Missing items from box
My daughter really enjoyed doing the 1st couple experiments! However, there were items missing from the box that should have been in there (string rod, straws, spoon, balloons, droppers, laundry tablet, cotton swabs, toothpicks, disposable gloves, rubber band, paper clips, and push pin)

Calling all little scientists
What a great science kit! It has so many cool experiments and things you can do. Even adults can learn a ton doing these experiments. And its fun for all. I wouldnt recommend having smaller children doing most of these experiments without an adult or older sibling there. Some of them could be dangerous and some can stain skin, clothes, and everything else around them. But the booklet does warn you to have an adult with when doing certain ones. I would highly recommend this for all who have children who love experiments and learning new things. My 8 year old loves it!
