Worked as Expected
After fitting LED bulbs to my 2005 Audi A4, I was constantly getting a dashboard error with an annoying beeping warning noise. Once these resistors were fitted, the error and noise disappeared. Took a bit of fiddling about to get them fitted. You will need to drill an approx. 25mm hole in the headlight dust cover, to connect the wires from the restrictor to the bulb. The restrictor stays outside the headlamp in the engine bay. The restrictor is quite large and won't fit inside the headlight housing. The kit comes with a good quality grommet that seals up the hole securely. I used a step drill bit to cut out the correct size of hole. If you are going to fit these yourself, take your time doing this, because if you cut the hole too big, you won't be able to seal the back of the headlight properly, too small and the grommet won't fit. If you are competent doing general DIY jobs, minor car mechanics etc. you shouldn't have any issues fitting these. I went for the brand name restrictors (Philips) for quality and general piece of mind. Hopefully they will have a long service life. But as of now, I would recommend these and would buy again. Hope this helps.

Get these to solve your Chinese bulb problems!
Solved problems with my H7 LED bulbs. If you have a vaguley modern car, just putting in the high power Chinese LED H7 bulbs won't work, or they'll give you some kind of error. These boxes instantly solved my problems and my old van now has seriously powerful lights!

Fixed Canbus error at first (updated in 2025)
Doesn't matter what way you hook it up, it works! Code will still read a bulb is out but no light on the dash. If you power the car off with the lights still on, when you power the car back on, the error will show. Simply turn your light on, then off, then on again and the bulb error will vanish. Best to turn your lights off then power off the ignition. Tested on MK5 Golf.2025 Update:No longer working, caused Philips Ultinon bulbs to blink and flicker and electrical anomalies such as poor power steering. Removed the lot and the car went back to normal. This was also not a battery problem as I had a consistent 14.6v reading at all times. Wouldn't recommend especially due to the sheer size of the units also.

Prevents LED flickering and dimming.
*Excellent*I've bought a philips LED-HL, Ultinum Pro3021, and unfortunately because of fluctuations in power draw ( could be my old battery as well ), the leds where flickering and dimming, only when power was needed, so starting the car, idling in low rpms, first gear low rpms... so on.Bought this to try, as it would stabilize the incoming voltage, and it did the trick. Low rpms, starting the car, turning the steering lock to lock, all with a stable non flickering led. Can't recommend enough.Obviously the photos are the led working, and not the product, but you get the idea. For those wondering about CANBUS, I unfortunately can't say if this does work, it says it does, but my leds without this product didn't throw errors in the dash, and still don't show any errors.
