Q: Hi I have got 2 of these plugs and I’m having massive issues with getting them connected to my app.

Hi,so did i at first till i figured it. Ill try n help out in steps. 1.put plug in socket and press till light flashes fast,release finger and press again till light flashes slow. 2.go to your wi fi connection and select plugs own wi fi,once connected it'll tell you that internet may not be available but ignore, 3.select smartlife app and select the 'add' symbol on top right then select 'socket wi fi'. 4.select "other mode' on top right then select 'AP mode' 5. On the ' enter wifi page' you should be on your normal household wifi,select 'confirm' but make sure light is flashing slow.When 'tip' pop up appears press continue. 6.try and keep your phone/tablet close to the plug and once plug signal is picked up the installation circle will pause the plug light will stay on then should install. 7 once installed you can open and rename, Hope this helps,once i had it figured out it seemed so easy and am looking to purchase a few more. Ive tried a few in the past and for the price these little units are great once installed. Good luck

Q: Do these plugs have ce and and bs certificate marks?

Maybe they do, but the "16A" in the title is certainly misleading and dangerous. The sockets into which they plug into are only rated at 13A, and as these devices are only rated at 1100W, they are actually only capable of handling a little under 5A.

Q: Do these act as wifi repeater/extenders too?

You are expecting too much. They definitely don't act as repeaters.

Q: Is privacy safe with the app?

I use this app on a Blackberry KEYone, so the security of the device is handled by Blackberry. As regards, the privacy of your data is concerned only a valid email address is required to create an account, so you can create a specific email address when creating an account via the SmartPug app.
