EXCELLENT product!! I thought it was going to be cheap since the price was but it was awesome!
We bought this for a school project and I was very happy with the quality. My kid used sharpie, crayola markers and paint and not once did the surface get too wet or bubble or smear. (The paint was inexpensive acrylic paints from a craft store.)Then some items were printed out on glossy photo paper and glued to the board with 3m Permanent glue sticks. The only caution i'd put out there is to take into consideration the medium you are using in regards to folding the board. My kiddo glued on photo paper and when the board was folding it started going awry, so while the glue was still moist the papers were removed, cut down the middle where the board folds and scooched over a few mm accordingly. Sure, it left the tiniest gap but then the board folded with no problem to the thick photo paper. The paint and such had no issues. (And we concluded it wasn't the board's fault, it's the nature of trying to fold the thick glossy paper on a board surface.)The game looked fantastic!

O.o
It's a board. It folds up. If you didn't know... you should not be allowed anything sharper than safety scissors.

Good, but not perfect
The board is nice and comes in exactly as described. The blank side of the board is very smooth and nice looking. For some reason, when the board dries out permanent markers after just a few strokes across. Although this is not the fault of the board. I purchased brand new markers and it dried out even those after just a little bit of drawing. The only drawback for me is the fact that the board did not close all the way properly. You can see in the picture below that it does not shut properly.

Works well with permanent color markers
The board is very sturdy and has only one fold. It is easy to draw on using a pencil. It was purchased for a math project that my child completed. We used pencil to outline the drawing on the game board. Mistakes were easy to erase. Once he was satisfied with the initial drawing, he traced/colored with permanent color markers. Crayons didn't do so well with the gloss. He also used color pencils in sections and they worked fine but didn't look as vibrant as the permanent color markers.

Too glossy for most media
These are nice looking and extremely convenient since my son is always coming up with games & there's not really a good way to make your own. But...they are so glossy almost nothing stays. We found that pencil (and not even good colored pencils, like Prismacolor) and thin sharpie-type markers will stay. But those will even come off if you rub hard enough. And you have to let it dry for a while before touching it or folding up the board.Thankfully he's not dead-set on his design plans & could work with it, but if he wanted it colored it would be nearly impossible. They are better than nothing, but I wish they were easier to use.
