Sun hat with neck flap
Nice wide rim and fit his huge head nicely. Flap is useful but he took it off, as it kept flapping into his face which he didn't like. Rim of hat is wide enough to cover his neck too. Nicely made too.

I use my sun hat in the hot weather, great for keeping the sun off the back of your neck

Double check what you are buying....
Hat OK but had to return and order again. The pictures do not match the descriptions, so be careful about what colour you think you are getting.

Hard to keep the flaps in place
A key feature of this hat is supposed to be the side flaps to protect your face from the sun. Only,I couldn't find hold them in place. There easily could have been something- all it needed was a catch or an extra bit of velcro.

Great
Great hat. I use it for when I'm on archaeology digs and it has protected me real well from all day in the sun, and obviously that includes my neck and ears which catch the sun hard when excavating. Thankyou

OK
A bit too large for my head. Straps are adjustable but it bunched up too much as I tried to fit it on my head. Luckily the chin strap helped to keep it on from being blown away. The neck guard tucks in neatly into a "pouch" whenever you feel like you do not need it. Only 4-stars as I would have preferred the brim to be a bit more stiff. Saved me from sunburns and heatstroke while holidaying in Greece and it was 40°C. I did not look trendy or instagram worthy but it did the job.

Just a bit too tight !
My head size is medium/large (cycle helmet size) unfortunately this hat is just too tight, that's with the adjusting strap fully open.It is just about wearable but I'm always conscious about it being a bit tight.As for looks, clearly it'll get a few disparaging comments but most will buy it for its functionality.Other points for those with a small head, it folds down and packs away into a small package and the neck cover can be secured inside a pocket on the brim, quality also seems reasonable.I bought it for gardening (after I burnt my neck) and I'll probably still use it, I just hope it doesn't shrink in the wash !
