Wow this things chews up metal.
Got it took it straight to work to use on surge protectors and panel cans for 3/4 inch connectors. This bit was incredible. It just eats metal like a hog if you know what I mean. It made the holes in no time. So far it's made over 10 holes and still works like new. Very aggressive unibit. This is supposed to be the B class version of this bit, there's a better more expensive version of this unibit. That said you won't notice. I'll grant I've only had it a week and just crossed into double digits on holes today. The bit works like new still after more than 2 holes or one job like cheap ones. For the record the commercial electrical panels I am using this bit on are not thin. It's 1/8th inch high grade aluminum. Also steel electrical boxes for walls. So out the gate this bit has crossed into double digits like a champ. I'll update in a few weeks on performance or if something changes.

Excellent Bit If used Properly
Used this bit to drill a 1 3/8" hole in a 1/10 inch thick Stainless Steel sink. Used slow drill speed and cutting oil! Clean cut without any apparent wear! Excellent value.

Excellent strength
Top quality for a good price. Done the job in less than a minute.

As Depicted. Well Machined
The 3/16-7/8' step drill arrived in a nice two piece plastic case to protect the cutting edges, similar to a commercial/industrial cutter. Appears to be designed/marketed by a German firm, thus explaining the perception of high quality & precision machining. Labeling indicates it's made in China.Steps are in 1/16" increments, thus 12 potential hole sizes. Note that each 'step' is only ~ 5/32" deep so the bit cannot create a true hole of a given 3/16-7/8" diameter in relatively thin material, e.g., ~ 1/4", if you drill from both sizes. Can't attest to functionality or durability yet - just received it and tested on soft pine, which it cut very cleanly.

Good buy for price
Pretty stout works well on alum and steel

Was great, now not so good.
Not long in durability. With thicker metals, mine is starting to heat up and is losing its sharpness. New it worked very well, was sharp, and cut right in. Now, after about the sixth hole, it works hard to do much cutting.

Better than most
These eat through metal fast

Agressive Drilling
Have used this mostly on aluminum and drills great. The spiral flutes definitely moves material out of the way better.
