Bought this for our 4 year old because his older brother has the regular Knex and my 4 year old struggled with it. This younger set is brilliant, so colourful, 50 odd builds to try, they are quite easy, but his sense of achievement is huge. Fun thing to do with your kids and more stimulating than the telly ! Def recommend.

Bought as a present for a three year old and a great first construction toy. Fifty pieces so it’s possible to build lots of models without having to take a favourite model apart to reuse the pieces. Large colourful sheet of model ideas is included. Some pieces are quite small so for safety reasons this toy is not suitable for children under 3 years.

I remember playing with K'NEX as a child, but I don't believe this version existed back then. It is a lot bigger, chunkier and made of softer plastic. Much better for the target age range, but still allows for the unlimited possibilities to build whatever you want.Purchased this for a child that had just turned 5 at the time. They required some assistance to copy the examples at first, but a few months later they can copy any of them with easy. They have also become very creative with this, building different unique projects. Very happy with this product and how it is fueling their creativity.I would definitely recommend this to anyone with younger children before they progress to the original version of K'NEX or other construction toys.

Lovely colourful and chunky pieces in this set for smaller hands to construct all sorts of creatures and structures. Good instruction sheet with design ideas and although aimed at 3-5 I think it is also good for slightly older children. I bought for my 5 year old daughter and is enjoying it greatly and it doesn’t feel too babyish for her. Pieces feel sturdy and are easy to take apart without worrying about breaking components (unlike k’nex for older kids). Box feels like it could use a few more pieces though and so we got an extra set (with wheels which this set is missing) to add to it. Box feels fuller now and more structures possible at one time. Nice sturdy box and get introduction to STEM for younger girls and boys.

Good variety of parts to make lots of different characters with. You can make a few different ones together instead of one at a time like the smaller sets. Our 4 year old daughter loves this and it is made for this age group to handle very well with their little hands

Bought for my son's 5th birthday. When I saw them I wondered if he would think these k-nex were too big and preschoolish but he actually loves being able to make different animals/monsters and has told me he likes them better than the smaller k-nex sets you can get.

Made from not a hardest plastic which is fab for little fingers, no sharp edges, some elements bendable. Little one loves it, its safe, easy to play with, versatile, super quality, builds up creativity and imagination as well as fine motor skills. Really happy with this toy!

I love this open-ended toy! Not many toys hold my son’s attention very long but he can sit and build these for a good hour! Perfect for my 4 year old!

This is such a good product. Our 3 year old granddaughter set to building the most creative creatures as soon as she opened it. She’s able to put most pieces together on her own. There a large enough selection for us to build several of the items shown in the accompanying illustrated guide. It kept her happily busy for a good hour. Highly recommend, great value.
