Quiet as a mouse!

Great fans! With a PWM fan controller these fans stay as quite as they can, function without fail and go well with my build. Looking to replace all my fans with these in the 140mm and 120mm. Catching these on a deal is great value for money.

A Good Upgrade from Existing Fans

I bought these to replace the fans that were fitted to my case. I’m not keen on the Noctua’s usual coffee and cream colouring so chose these instead. These were fitted to the front of the case and at 40cm the cables are long enough to reach the headers on the motherboard.According to Noctua’s specs they move as much air as the existing 140mm fans, but are about 10 dba quieterNo idea if this down to the motors, the number of blades or the design of the blades, or whatever, these fans are noticeably quieter than the fans they replaced. These are certainly worth looking at if you’re wanting to add to or upgrade your fans.

FANtastic!

I was very reluctant to buy these as the cost for 2 is almost the cost of a set of 5 cheaper fans. However it's worth it. The air these can move with reasonable noise levels is great. While they are the cheaper version of Noctua's fans they are still excellent. As someone who hates noise, or rather inconsistent noises I will happily pay more to get a decent product. My PC used to annoy me now it's wisper quiet under load with good temperatures. I know you don't know the rest of my components but my PC is usually idling around 25c - 30c on a cooler day and in summer around 30c - 40c idling. I have the RPM of my case fans set to around 600rpm for the 3 Noctua fans I have and then 1000rpm for the case fans I already had (Some Phantek ones).I will say I don't let them get too high in RPM as the noise does get a bit annoying even for the legendary Noctua brand. However this might not even bother most people as I say I am sensitive to noise but I have also found there is not much point going really high RPM as you can only cool down your components so much with the room temperature what it is. I did some tests and found the right balance between cooling and noise levels and found that less RPM still gives the same temperatures so why go louder when you don't need to?Always be tweaking your setup, find what is right for you!

QC problems

I've just had one of these replaced by Amazon (May 2021) after finding the first one to have completely unacceptable levels of motor or bearing noise (almost certainly the latter as I tested with pure DC, no PWM circuitry involved) even at 7v or c. 800 RPM.I already have three 120mm redux high-speed fans (two-tone grey like this one, square frame) and the NF-A15 140mm on the Noctua NH-U14S cooler in my PC (also have a couple of low speed 120's I've tested but never installed) so I knew what shoould be expected from this one.Thankfully the replacement is much better (arrived the day after submitting the request - Amazon has its uses!), only the aerodynamic noise of the blades can be heard.Pricing is all over the place at the moment (seems to vary day by day), but assuming £12-14 AND that they meet their spec (in terms of noise) they're excellent value, but I'm giving the model 4 stars (I'd make it 3.5 if I could) on account of the apparently less-than-perfect QC.

Great fan for the price.

Great fan overall, I'd like it to be a tod quieter, but anyway it's much better than Corsair I used before. Don't get me wrong, it is quite quiet for the price and the air flow is decent. I expect it to last many years as other Noctua fans and coolers I have in my system.
