I use various USB C docks that require external power to be supplied via USB C. Having tried this power supply with a couple of them I can say that it is working perfectly.With this amount of available power/watts being supplied to my USB C docks, it means that I have the maximum amount of power passthrough available for the docks to power external devices such as USB C SSDs.The docks themselves take about 5 to 7 watts for their own power and then share/passthrough the remaining power to the host device and peripherals. Having tried this power supply with one of my docks that's used to connect one of my iPad Pros to a TV and have various peripheral attached. I can confirm that everything is being powered, including the iPad Pro and there's still a lot of power to spare.In use on my docks with peripherals and a host device attached, this power supply doesn't feel like it heats up much, even over a long period of time. There's also no noticeable noise, such as the whine you sometimes get from power supplies.The build quality isn't awesome but isn't bad either. I'm not sure how it would hold up with constant portable use but for a fixed position at a desktop, like I'm using it for, I don't see wear and tear and build quilty being an issue.While I appreciate that my use isn't for powering/charging a Dell laptop. Hopefully my use is useful to others who are looking for a powerful (high wattage) power supply for uses other than charging a laptop.

The second that I plugged in and turned on this charger the consumer unit tripped knocking off power to the whole house. I tried this on two different sockets around the house and the same thing happened. This isn't a problem with my electrics because I have plenty of similar devices running around the house. This adapter is extremely dangerous and should not be on the market. Please just pay the extra £10 or £20 to get a genuine Dell adapter.

Great value replacement dell charger. Works well and doesn't get hot, as good as the original.

Good solid feeling product all cables fit smoothly and feel well located.Test and seems to work fine with a Dell vostro P106FNot that heavy either so will be perfect as my on the go power adaptor

Overheated and stopped working right after return window closed.

Worked fine for few minutes then stopped altogether. Following day, worked for a minute then stopped again. Clearly not capable of charging my DELL 9700 as advertised.
