Amazon Basics 28" 60-Degree Oscillating Tower Fan for Bedroom, Living Room, Office, With 3 Speeds, Intuitive Mechanical Control, Black, 35W, 27.8"H x 9.4"D x 9.4"W

I have an Amazon Basics document shredder that is now 10 years old and still going strong, so when I decided I wanted an oscillating tower fan for my living room, I decided to get another Amazon Basics. I think it was the right choice.I live in a 900 sq ft 1981 single wide trailer with a metal roof. Needless to say, it gets hot, and my central A/C can't always keep up. This fan is just enough that my A/C doesn't have to work quite as hard for quite as long to cool the house.My unit did not come with instructions either for the remote or for putting the base together, so that was annoying, but it's fine. I'll learn the controls by trial. It seems to have an outdoor setting, that I think is supposed to mimic the random wind patterns outside which is kinda cool, lol.Fan has plenty of power. My perfect setting seems to be a 2, but it goes all the way up to 4. That's enough to keep the air moving and get a slight breeze from the couch when I'm watching TV or playing video games.It weighs practically nothing. I thought I was going to struggle getting it up my porch steps after it was delivered but it had practically no weight to it even inside the box with all the packaging.The remote is great. I can control all of the fan's functions from my couch.Discreet and undiscerning, it fits right in with my furniture. I think I made the right choice.

When you sell a fan that needs a fuse in the plug - you should let customers know - and you should provide extra fuses - i have not had thus fan that long nor have i run it very iften yet it needs a fuse because it will not work - you need to provide more information to the customer or they may think as i have that it is one big scam

Why did you pick this product vs others?:So far fan works fine. Very easy setup.Had an Lasco fan that I was gifted that really only lasted about two months total- i of course did not use it Sept through May, and by the time it died, Amazon said they couldn’t refund it. So this time I bought the Amazon basic and got an 2 year warranty!Only problem I have is ‘seeing’ the different buttons on the top. I had to end up,putting my own labels on the fan, so if I want to turn it ON at the fan, I know which buttons are which.The remote works great!

I love this fan! 🙂 My bedroom is essentially a finished attic, and while it has central air, the thermostat control is on the first floor. If it's cool enough downstairs, the a/c is not coming on - and we all know heat rises! I got this to replace my old, noisy, oscillating fan, and while it's not completely quiet, it's do much better and does a much better job. The fact that it has a remote AND you can set a timer makes it all the better.

Such a good price. Works just like a normal tower fan with different setting speeds and an option to oscillate the flow. Keeps my room cool which is what i bought it for. Does provide a good bit of noise but it’s to be expected.

I wanted it to work. I assembled it which was really quick and easy but when we plugged it in, it did not blow. It oscillated fine but was also a pretty flimsy product for the price. It just did not work so we sent it back for a refund and will try a different brand that is hopefully more sturdy, blows cool air the 1st time, and is reasonably priced to see if we have better luck. The reviews we read were also often not the same make/model that we recieved (nicer, more buttons & features).

Got as an additional way to cool my livingroom as the AC was overworked from the high temps. This kept the large living room cool, even overnight with AC off and on medium setting. Easy to assemble but feel the base could be made of a sturdier plastic. May purchase another for small dining room.

Poor quality--base is cheap and doesn't fit together well. I bought two, and kept them because I needed them for an event and didn't have time to replace them. Cost is lower than other brands, but so is the quality.
