I bought this chess board as a birthday gift for my friend, and it turned out to be a great choice. The quality is impressive, smooth pieces, and a well-crafted board. The design is clean and elegant. My friend absolutely loved it! Only downside, I lost the first game we played… so maybe they need to tweak it to make me win next time))

This chess set is pleasing to the eye and the pieces each have their own setting in the storage area, which also serves as a base to the chess board. Love this product. Wish it was made in the USA.

It arrived in a really nice box. Well packaged. Gave it to all 3 grandsons, as they love chess. The checkers were a bonus. The board is quite lovely and the pieces are well made with a little weight to them. They really like the storage because each piece has a protected spot so they don’t roll around and become damaged. The board is the perfect size. It is ready for a game at any time. No sorting through a drawer for pieces either. A great set for beginners or accomplished competitors. Looks nice if you decide to leave it out on a table, too.

I don't really have any complaints about this set. I spent much more time than necessary researching and finally picking this one and am glad I did. I was just shocked at how little selection there was for really high end chess sets. This one is great, but not exquisite. It is a standard run of the mill hand made chess board. The pieces are all really well done, but not elaborate or exceptionally heavy. I gave it a solid 4 stars simply because I don't think it's priced competitively. I wanted a phenomenal board with stone or metal pieces and a high gloss board. That is something I just couldn't find. For us, this will do. We play a lot of chess and always have a game going so it sits out on the oak bistro table with running games. As far as the quality of this set, it's good. No flaws and all the pieces fit inside nicely. Came with a nice box to put it away in when not in use.
