Phonics from A to Z (2nd Edition)

Wiley Blevins has done a superb job. I have used the first edition for about 10 years, and had to get the second as well for my niece, also an English as a Second Language teacher. It is not only a thorough reference for the sound-letter relationships of English, but also a very practical resource for creating classroom lessons. It also references specific children's books to enhance lessons and reinforce skills. If I could only buy 1 teacher reference on phonics instruction, this would be it.

I am not very picky about my books at all. As long as it is in one piece its in great condition to me. After four years of college I hate wasting money on brand new books for them to collect dust or become worn out. Therefore this book was in one piece and although it collected dust as I knew it probably would it was affordable and book was in good condition. It served its purpose.

This is by far the best book that I have used to teach and learn about phonics. It is a great book for those who would like to understand phonics. It would be a great resource for teachers and teacher in training. The book includes word lists (CVC, CVCE and words for different letters), a scope and sequence for teaching letters, and lots of games and activities.

Good content and condition.

I was looking for something to boost my purchase up to $25 so that I could get free shipping. I got this book, thinking that it was a book to read with my kids. However, the book is an educational book that a teacher would use. Good book, but not what I was expecting.

This book has provided our first grade teachers valuable guidance in establishing phonics sequence, word lists are incredible, and the organization is so easy to use. Love it so far!

This was a required text for a recent graduate course in Developmental Reading. I found this text to be very helpful, and it was easy to read. It provided useful information.

Requested by teacher for a class. I needed it for a class for college. Served its purpose. Trust it will serve the next person as well.
