Good value for the money NOT.

Good value for the money, and if I had to voice any complaint it would be the continuity beeper is not loud enough but then not many brands I have used are.Update 12/27/2015: This meter is no longer functional. Disassembly revealed the finger contacts under the function knob to be worn out the the point of one of them almost breaking in half. Unacceptable. Unlike what the description implies, mine did not have an inductance measurement capability. I purchased this mainly because of it's large display but after using this meter for 10 months I found it to be a very annoying to use. As I alluded to in my first remarks on this meter the continuity checker beeper was not loud enough. This proved to be very very annoying as I began to use the instrument more and found it to be almost worthless in that capacity due to the fact of not being able to hear the damn thing. The meter has an unacceptable sampling rate of about 3X a second. That is optimistic. It is more like 2X and this makes the meter exceedingly slow. The beep 5 times power save alert was exceedingly annoying. The frequency measurement function was deaf. It specs the freq measurement sensitivity as being 0.7V. Is that 0.7 Vpp or Vrms ? Well on my unit it seemed to be 0.7 Vrms or about 1.98 Vpp. Never-the-less, my unit was quite deaf so I believe that 0.7V input sensitivity to be Vrms. But even if it was Vpp that would still be unacceptably high for my use anyway. Last but not least, a meter should last for YEARS not a scant over 10 months with average use. The unit failed me when I needed it the most. Granted. $30.00 over a 10 month period and I can probably say I got $3.00/mo use out of it but not without a lot of annoyance and aggravation. There are better meters to be had for a few extra bucks. I'm done with buying Chinese junk. I ended up doing what I should have done from the offset and bought an Agilent (Keysight) U1272A. Expensive but top quality. An. American company ( roots from Hewlett Packard). Less expensive than Fluke. Fluke is probably better. Also an American company. My Agilent is made in Malaysia; Flukes used to be made in the U.S.A. but don't hold me to that as it may have changed. Yeah I know. $250+ for a multimeter? There are cheaper alternatives. Check out Dave's eevblog on youtube. In closing, I cannot recommend this meter. Look elsewhere.

Great test meter with lots of extras.

I don't remember what I paid for this I'm thinking around $25 and I've seen him go for a lot more but I love a lot about this meter with the exception that it's not a true RMS meter I still like a lot of the features I love the the probe holders in the back of the case the case itself is strong it rubbery I'm sure it'll take an impact really well all the settings I don't even want some people complain I don't mind that it has a transistor tester although I doubt that I'll ever use it hell of the extra large display and the bar graph at the bottom since it doesn't have a frequency counter that corresponds with the ac voltage it can be really hard to tell if you've got AC with a signed waiver pulse or something on it can be really hard to read other than that the money it'll make a great addition to my Entourage

Works OK but slow and has Auto-range anomaly

Overall a decent meter at a good price, but it does have an odd display issue: With resistance in the 100s ohms, it consistently displays the result as .768 kOhm instead of the easier to read 768 Ohm. This seems to be corrected in values < 150 ohm and I don't know where the break point is. Maybe around 600 ohm since multiples of 6x are cited in the specs. I have seen this flaw in the display during a YouTube evaluation too, although it was not called out by the reviewer. So it seems to be a design flaw and not just my meter. It's also slow to display readings when compared to more expensive Fluke, etc. but still a decent meter for the price.

great tool!

im not going to write a lengthy review if you want a large display auto ranging DMM. with a nice snaping selector this is a good one to get!it is not back lit but that would be the only thing i would have paid more for. however with it being as cheap as it is i cannot complain. the stand is not that great only actual complaint i have its just to flimsy because when switching modes it will move the whole unit.

Reliable and accurate meter, slow response time

The response time is incredibly slow compared to a fluke meter, but other than that this is a tremendous value for the money and I will definitely buy more. Our use this on a daily basis as an industrial maintenance manager. I do use this meter in a three phase industrial environment every day, and it has proven to be reliable and accurate.
