Reliable, good sound, great for motovlogging.

I've made about 100 videos using this mic in my helmet. The cable is much longer than necessary, I think 2ft would be the max needed for motovlogging. I haven't done it, but I'll probably cut it to length and put a connector on it with some heat sink to protect the cable at the strain point. The sound quality is good. For the price, the sound is excellent. I've ridden through rain storms, wind storms, heat, cold and hail with this mic. It works great. It has foam on it, but I put a dead cat over it to reduce wind noise. I bought a pack of 5 on amazon for cheap, lost one, have 3 spare still after 2 years. I also use the voice isolation in Final Cut Pro to reduce that. There's only so much you can do with a mic in a 70mph wind. That said, my voice audio is pretty good and, if I'm riding under 50mph, I can control the wind noise almost entirely.Overall, I'm very pleased with the mic and am buying a 2nd one for backup just in case. I also have a similar mic from Movo, no cable, short gooseneck. I use it with my DJI wireless Mic. I didnt' like the sound of the internal mic and I figured the sensor was the same (might not be), so that helps provide a more uniform sound between my on bike riding voice and my voice overs.I recommend you place the mic about 45 degrees off axis from your mouth. ie: 45 degrees off straight forward. That will reduce plosives and excessive sibilance. If you put it right in front, real close to your mouth on the chin bar, you'll get more wind noise and if you say picked peppers playing poker with popsicles or something like that and play it back on any kind of halfway decent sound, you'll hear the plosives bad. Sibilance can be tamed with EQ sometimes, but plosives are best fixed BEFORE you hit record.

Perfect for GoPro Hero12 Black

Works great with my GoPro 12 Black inside my helmet, if you're in doubt then don't be buy this as I've tried so many microphones, and this works great, plus the added benefit of not having an extra long cable it was really easy to tuck into the lining of the helmet. Would definitely buy again.

Great Sound; Poor build quality

The media could not be loaded. Please refer to video for sound quality test. See photos for reference to build quality issues.---- Microphone review ----Overall it's a solid sounding microphone. I didn't experiment with positioning inside of the helmet. The sound is a teeny bit harsh but it's placed less than a half inch from my mouth so no blame there. I did not test at speeds above 80mph, but at 80mph the wind is nowhere near as harsh as other microphones and does not cause clipping, stuttering, popping or crackling which was the number one reason I bought this mic. So far it holds up. I'm not disappointed with the microphone. The quality for the price is fantastic. I have the pop filter it came with installed in addition to a cheap "dead cat" sound stock over top for a double layer of wind protection. Recording performed with a GoPro Hero 5 Black and GoPro audio adapter with an AGV K6 helmet.---- Build Quality ----Mostly terrible. It's pretty flimsy. I broke my first unit as soon as I tried handling it when installing it into my helmet. It separated at the ends causing the wires to disconnect/short. For the second unit I receive, the same problem was present. The glue used to secure these pieces is horribly weak. However, I was prepared. I used some loctite gel super glue for a thicker, sturdier finish and gently separated the pieces. I placed the glue around the edges and then pushed everything back together. So far it's held up very well. I have had no more issues. I don't believe I should have had to do it in the first place. I hesitate to give the unit 4 stars because of how weak the assembly is. At least the components themselves are sturdy and rigid. But really, just use better glue. There's no reason this shouldn't be a 5 star product. Fix the glue or modify the assembly to be a sealed set and you have the best mic I can find on the market.

Very nice Microphone for MotoVloging

This microphone worked great mounted in my full face helmet with out a face shield, it has great audio even at 60 mph, picks up just the right amount of engine noise so your videos sound very real, make sure you use the wind screen , in fact buy some spare screens to have because you will lose them.

I use this with my gopro hero 7 black and this gives out great sound quality.

Mid at best

So far so bad, sensitivity is too high, no app or anything to adjust anything. I ended up putting a dead cat that I had lying around to cut down on wind and muffle voice while inside helmet. It prefers the visor open. Honestly disappointed with it. Spend the extra money for a better mic.

Simply the best!

i’ve tried countless in wired in helmet, microphone set ups. This one by far is the best. It completely eliminated wind noise and chopping/ clipping. It works so good. I’m ordering a second as a back up. Five stars all day!!!

I own two. When they work, they are pretty good. But seems to break easily.

I'm using this microphone for connecting to a GoPro Media Mod for MotoVlogging. In less than 6 months, one broke. Got another one, in less than 6 months this one has started to short out. I had to narrow it down and found it was the mic that is the problem. I own a second one and it works perfectly (for now) for its purpose but as soon as I go back to the other one it is constant static, popping, and sound out of only one ear. Also, the little wind sock/foam piece is way too small and falls off very easily.
