A solid bunch of paper. I got these to print for an event and they were the perfect color. Exactly what I was looking for

I have been searching for a black TEXT WEIGHT paper for some time. Finally I have found one. This is 8.5 x 11 text weight paper/printer paper. I compared it to black artist paper and it is the same. I tried stamping it with Hero Arts brand Hero Hues white (named Unicorn) pigment ink, and it stamped perfectly on the black. I’m very satisfied with this purchase even though it’s a little pricey. But I’m willing to purchase it because I’ve had such a hard time finding a satisfactory paper.

This paper is a great value. I’m using it for crafts and it works great with chalk

Package only had 50 sheets, I expected 100.

The only thing I’m disappointed with is that the paper texture is not the same on both sides. In strong light, there is very clearly a “right” and “wrong” side. One is smoother than the other. If you’re doing origami with this paper, you’re going to be very unhappy. Aside from that, very nice paper. Is entirely black, even when torn.

Other paper I tried was too soft and shreddy. This has a smooth, tight finish that works well with adhesives, and looks good.

Alright, you must believe me when I write something this long. So no one gets tricked anymore. I own so so many different types of paper and I do constant research on all kinds of paper. I ordered it because in the description it says the paper has a vellum finish. Arrived slightly bend at one corner but didn't have permanent mark so I opened it and what a disappointment. First of all, it's very thin about 32lb (that's expected but still too thin) and the surface is not smooth at all. My regular 28lb Hammermill copy paper is so much smoother than that. I wanted it for a project that requires super smooth surface. So that's a bomber. I have smoother and thicker black cardstocks at my disposal and most of them are much cheaper than this one. I really have no idea who gave them the confidence to sell 50 sheets at such high price. I recently returned two other cardstocks, so kind of feels bad so I won't be returning this one and hope to maybe use it at some point but definitely not happy about it. I like JAM products and this paper is fine but it did not feel as sturdy as other paper I have bought from them with the same paper weight. The color was a little lighter than pictured but I liked that. I used it to make crafts for my daughter’s birthday party.

Simple and nice black paper, I’ve used it for some art on my walls. It’s a tiny bit thicker than regular white paper, but not too thick either.
