Even though this is not from LEGO, it's actually compatible with it and fits very well and feels very similar to the real deal.The only downside is that the red color is NOT the same red that LEGO has, it's a different (but very similar) shade. But you'll only notice that if they're side by side or next to each other

My 5yr old son received this for Xmas and he dove right into playing with. What we like about this set (compared to branded Lego Classic big brick boxes/sets) was that it has many large bricks. The bricks attach very well to each other (and to other Lego bricks and figurines). Overall we are very satisfied with the quality and the variety of the pieces.Important note - the purpose of this set is to complement other sets of Legos (or compatible pieces). Regarding contents - this set does NOT include figurines, base plates, or steering wheels (but there are wheels and axles for building basic cars - just that the steering wheel part is missing). Also, even though there are many good sized bricks (of many lengths), the width for all is either 1 or 2 dots. We knew exactly what was included in the set when we ordered and we were not disappointed. We have plenty of figurines, base plates, steering wheels, and other parts from specialized Lego sets.

I ordered the 500 piece pack. I sorted out the pieces by shape and color to make sure they were evenly distributed and contained all pieces. I only received 475 total pieces. They were not evenly distributed by either color or shape. I am hoping the distributor corrects this, and offers to send the missing items. I recieved the following:52 red, 42 orange 47 yellow, 50 green, 46 grey, 50 black, 42 brown, 48 blue, 46 purple, 50 white.The only sizes that were evenly distributed were 2x10, 2x8 (1 ea color), 1x6, 1x8, 1x4, 1x3 (2 each color), 1x2 (10 each color) and 2x2x1 (2 each color). The remaining sizes were all ranging between 4-8 pieces of each color.I specifically chose this listing because of the description that said it came with an even amount of each size and color, and had a bigger variety than other listings as far as color and sizes. With so many choices available for bulk legos at a lower price, I'm pretty disappointed that the package didnt end up being as described.

I work in the mental health field with children. One stated that he wanted legos to play with Legos during session. Since I had never purchased one piece of legos before, I asked myself "how much can they be?" and promised to purchase some for the client. He informed me that COLOR is majorly important. Noted!As I researched the price of legos, I quickly realized that they are not as economical as I had believed. The amount of pieces for the cost didn't seem to add up. I mean, they're plastic pieces for crying out loud! Luckily, Amazon has they're little "you may also like...." at the bottom of the page. I saw these blocks and instantly thought WOO HOO! What's even better is that the client loved the colors. He was impressed with the brown and did not realize that they weren't "true" legos. Way to pull the wool over his eyes! Lol! Also, my granddaughter brought over her legos and there was no problem fitting the two together. In fact, it was more difficult pulling them apart. They have a wonderful connection with legos! The pieces are small.The con is that there is no storage that comes with these pieces so you'll have to create your own. I'm using 2 ziploc freezer bags for now.Needless to say, this purchase saved my life! I never want to appear to not keep my word with my clients.

I have purchased Lego brand for years for my children ages 10 and 7. They recently began attending in school sessions 2 days per week and I offered to purchase materials for both of their classrooms. I bought 2 of these 1100 count bags and 10 pack sets of building bases. I was able to split these bricks into individual bags for each student with each child receiving approximately 90-110 bricks based on number of students per class. In addition each bag also received either a window frame and shutters, a door, or axles with tires and rims. It was a big hit in my 1st and 4th grader classes to come up with unique building structures during their free time. They're easy to store with the plastic bags I provided and the building bases keep them organized on their desks and make it easy to display their creativity. I wouldn't hesitate to buy these again for my own children or friends and family. Not only did we get a ton of bricks but there was a great variety of colors, shapes, and extras! Also for those worried about rather or not they will work with Lego, the answer is yes! We tested it with some of our own including a building base and they locked together with no gaps or problems taking them apart.
