Really strong thread!! Very large spool.
I am making some of my own outdoor gear with ripstop nylon fabric, and needed a really strong thread for those projects. This three is great. You cannot pull it and break it like other threads.Only downside is the size of the spool. It's too large for my sewing machine. I have a fairly new singer, it has a vertical spool holder as well as one that lays sideways. The vertical is for loading the bobbin. This spool was still too tall and the base too wide to fit on my machine. So I hand loaded the thread onto a smaller spool, (actually I made my mom do this) once on the smaller spool it worked great. I also bought a denim needle thinking I would need it for the stronger thread, but that was unnecessary. This thread is still thin, yet strong. The heavier needle only made the holes in my fabric bigger than necessary, so I switched back. I've included a picture showing the size of the spool compared to a regular spool. Seems like this size is more suitable for an industrial machine, or maybe there is an attachment for my singer I don't know about.

Recommended purchase
This thread seems to be of OK. Admittedly I know little about sewing. My MA' was a seamstress for many years and she didn't have anything bad to say about it. Only thing she asked was whether it was UV resistant, meaning if it would deteriorate and weaken when exposed to the sun a lot. Though it doesn't say specifically if it is UV resistant it does say "outdoor market". I assume that means it can be purposed for outdoor equipment or other outdoor applications.I am using this along with some webbing to make a custom pull harness for my dog buddy. So he can help with some light work around the yard. He loves to help.I would suggest to anyone who is just starting out with sewing or is sewing by hand (like me) that they get a different color thread than the color of fabric they are sewing to. It helps to keep track of where you are in your stitch. Unless of course you want your stitches to be invisible.I thought about giving 4 stars because the product description implies it is intended for some outdoor applications yet it lacked a deliberate reassuring "UV resistant" in its description, which would prevent any confusion. However I am happy with this purchase and will likely buy again.Pros: lots of thread is useful when you're a newb and waste a lot.Cons: None that I can be certain of.

Black Bonded Nylon Sewing Thread 1500 Yard Size T70
I had to do some research to find out what "T70" means, and to make sure it would be usable in my sewing machine. It seems to be just about the largest diameter thread that a simple home sewing machine can handle, so that's great for what I need to do.Beyond that, it's twisted nice and tight, making it very smooth, so it goes through the machine easily; also, I couldn't break it by hand no matter what I did to it, so it's certainly strong! It's actually more like a thin cord, than "thread".It's actually significantly better than I had expected, which is a nice surprise :) I'm strongly considering getting more of this in additional colors, because I'm always coming up with one or another new craft or whatnot to try making, and as versatile as this is due its qualities, I think I'll find many uses for it in the future.

snags a little too often but is well worth the money.
The good:For a few dollars more than a typical 150yard spool you can get 10 times more. The spindle worked fine on my brother 2600 which is not made to take these size spindles. It flopped around a bit but worked great. The thread is STRONG. Really strong. Denim strong. The bad:The kerfting doesn't seem to have taken very well and it unravels easily.Several times I had it bunch up in a ball behind the needle in a knot that moved. IE string coming ut of needle looked normal, string going into needle looked normal, but right at pin hole it twisted into a ball. It's not very grabby, very low friction. This makes it easier for the bobbin to come unspooled and cause tangles. I had to throw out 1 bobbin that jammed every single time. I guess I needed to spin it tighter when I made it. REspooled the bobbin and it worked fine even though it looked the same.I went through 3 bobbins worth of sewing so far, probably 15 yards of stitching with four or 5 times that distance in over stitching and reinforcement stitches. Had 3 tangles, and the balling up problem happened 3 times.I would buy it again. These little snags can be prevented with skill and it's too strong and too cheap to pass up for such a large amount. Great value.

Very nice!
I really like this thread. I was worried because I saw some reviews that's said the thread broke as they attempted to use it. From what I've seen a great deal of pressure would have to be added to for that to happen. I did a mini experiment to see if I could break it myself and only successed in hurting my hands. It's a very tightly spun smooth texture which reduces friction and consequently fraying and it doesn't seem to absorb much moisture which could also cause fraying. I would repurchase, although that would be a long time from now because the spool is huge!

Perfect for installs
This thread glides smoothly for installs, or for making wigs by hand

Not as tough as I thought
I WAS impressed when I first got this. It is twice as thick as another thread I had. Then I realized that its breaking point is not what I expected at all. The older thread I had (which is half as thick) is practically unbreakable and takes an incredible amount of "pulling force" to break it. This One breaks far easier. It is most defeatedly stronger that conventional thread, but not tough enough / as tough as others available.

Crazy strong.
Update 12/29/2016: I finally got around to using this stuff in a sewing machine and it works well. I ended up using a size 11 needle in my cheapo Brother machine and it worked great. Every needle smaller would start to bunch the thread because the eye hole seemed too small to properly feed the thread through. Just an FYI, your mileage may vary.Need to hand-stitch some heavy duty gear, this is the stuff you want. Crazy strong (like will cut your hand trying to break it). Haven't tried in a sewing machine so can't comment on that, but for hand stitching anything heavy duty, this is the stuff you want.
