I needed a short, 2-drawer file cabinet, and I wanted one that was not made of pressed sawdust and vinyl. This just fit my requirements. It's metal - very thin metal, but good enough. I tucked it under a workstation shelf and it fit perfectly, and the thin metal structure will take hardly any beating at all. Some people said theirs arrived bent, attributing the bending to the thinness of the metal. I ordered knowing that might happen to mine too, but I decided to risk it. Glad I did.

Just what I expected from reading other reviews. Didn’t give 5 stars because of no locks on the casters and the drawer lock does top accessory and top file drawer only. Wish it locked just the two file drawers. But happy with the product I received. Was very easy to attach casters and handles. It came well packaged and free of any shipping damage. Serves the simple home filing I needed just fine overall. Didn’t expect heavyweight metal for the price. Good value for the price.

I got the cabinet. It was fine. It came with handles for the drawers. However, it didn't come with the screws needed to attach those handles.So it's basically unusable. I've been trying to contact the seller to get replacement screws ever since, with no luck so far. I'll update this review if I ever get the missing pieces!UPDATE: They sent me replacement hardware! They were super nice and police and everything now works and I've updated the stars on my review!

I selected this two-drawer file cabinet based on reviews. Then I realized, it was only going into a closet to be accessed rarely (just home files). Did I really need an old-fashioned metal one? So compared prices with single-drawer totes, stackable plastic files, etc. Those were almost as expensive as this tried and true product. Sold! It is exactly as described. Maybe a bit thinner metal than Grandpa's original from 1947, but looks the same and IS sturdy. Ignore the reviews about difficulty installing the handles. Absolute snap! Perhaps they used the wrong screwdriver head. One complaint others had is correct: the drawers do NOT pull out all the way. So if it were jammed full, you could not access files in the back without removing a few from the front. That said, if you currently have two packed drawers of files, it's either time to purge -- or graduate to a three-drawer. This product line is the way to go!

This cabinet provides security because sensitive files can be locked away. It is built well enough to serve its purpose but is not the highest quality.

1. The screw holes were too small for the casters and i had to hammer them in to make large enough holes for the provided screws.2. I am missing one screw for the casters.3. One screw for the handles was messed up so it would not fit in the handle hole. I tried the screw on all the handles but it would not fit at all, so i determined the problem to be the screw, not the handle or the hole. Due to this, one handle is very loose and easily jiggles.4. The top drawer arrived a bit bent but still functional.At first look this is poor quality and flimsy material. Quality aside, what pushed me over to prompt a negative review were the multiple issues with the screws and holes. The least they could do was make sure the holes were big enough for the screws they provided, to give the accurate amount of screws, and to give functional screws that aren't messed up.I do not recommend this product.

I'm been searching around for an economical filing cabinet, and this one was within the price range I could afford. I was delighted to find that it was packed in such a way, with styrophone all around the corners, that I got the cabinet without a single dent or scratch on it. That was one thing I dreaded, getting a damaged unit, and the hassle of getting it exchanged. Mine arrived in perfect condition and I'm very satisfied and happy with it. There are 5" of the drawer that don't come out, but it seems it was necessary to do it that way, since the filing cabinet is small and very light weight. If the drawers came all the way out it would probably tip forward. The drawers are also solid from top to bottom. The handles are beautiful. I would recommend it to anyone for a home office. I'm single so it is plenty of room for the paperwork I have.
