Q: Will the dcb605 and dcb609 battery fit this saw?

I’m not sure about DCB605 but the DCB609 should pair well. If it’s either a Max XR or Flexvolt it will work. I use the DCB606C on mine and it works amazing.

Q: Can I cut a couple of pavers with this saw and a masonry blade?

Hello C, The model DCS573B is not recommended to be used to cut pavers with a masonry blade. The units intended use is for metal-cutting, cutting light gauge metals and small metal structural shapes.

Very powerful even using a standard 20v 5aH battery!

Was a little worried about buying a full size 7-1/4" circular saw and running it on a standard 20v battery but this thing cuts like my AC powered saw. Went through 2x8s knots and all without bogging down. Really impressed with this saw. Handles very well, good balance and great visibility of the cut during operation. Seems to deposit the saw dust in a neat line behind the saw, not important but different from the usual mess. I'm sure it has even more power if you use the flex batteries but don't worry if you only have the standard 20v batteries like me. I do use a 5aH battery so I can't comment on the smaller ones but I assume it just wouldn't run as long. Give it a try, I don't think you'll be disappointed.

Really like this saw with a 6 amp battery

I've been really pleased with this saw. I've built a couple of platforms for 250 gallon water tanks with it and am currently using it to build a milking stanchion for milking cows and sheep. Yesterday I was making some cuts and thought the shoe was dragging or something because it seemed slow or down on power. Turns out I grabbed a 5 amp battery instead of one of my 6 amp batteries (not a flex volt battery). It makes a big difference to use the 6 amp battery. It feels almost as powerful as my 15 amp corded saw with that battery in it. I notice the blade binds a little more easily than my corded saw and it cuts just a little slower. It's worth it though. I didn't realize how much of a pain it is to fight with a cord. This saw is almost an extension of my hand. I'm really curious to see if a 6 or 9 amp flexvolt battery can improve the power more than a standard 6 amp battery.Update 12/20/2023:I've continued using this saw. I've built 2 smallish out buildings and a 2400 sqft barn using this saw heavily through out. My favorite combination is using it with a 6 amp flexvolt battery. Good cutting time and slightly lighter than a 9 amp flexvolt. It's not as powerful as my 15 amp saw, but that has never stopped it from getting the job done faster due to no cord management. It is so nice to not have to use a generator too.
