E-Cloth Deep Clean Mop: Eco-Friendly Cleaning with Potential Performance Drawbacks
The E-Cloth Deep Clean Mop with Extra Mop Replacement Head is a microfiber mop that promises clean floors with just water. Here's a closer look at its features to help you decide if this eco-friendly option is the right fit for you:Pros:Eco-Friendly Cleaning: No harsh chemicals are needed, making this a safe and environmentally friendly cleaning solution for your floors.Microfiber Performance: Microfiber cloths can effectively trap dirt, dust, and grease without scratching surfaces.Washable and Reusable: The microfiber mop head is washable, reducing waste compared to disposable mop heads. E-Cloth claims the mop head can last up to 100 washes.Multiple Floor Types: This mop is advertised to be safe for use on various hard floors, including hardwood, laminate, tile, and stone.Extra Mop Head Included: Having an extra mop head allows you to clean for longer stretches or swap them out for washing.Cons:Potential for Deep Cleaning Limitations: While microfiber is good at trapping dirt and dust, some reviews mention it might not be strong enough for tackling heavy grime or stuck-on messes.User Effort Required: Moping with a microfiber mop might require more effort compared to using a traditional mop with a cleaning solution, especially for heavily soiled floors.Replacing Mop Head: While the mop head is washable, some users might find it inconvenient to replace it entirely every 100 washes, even if the cleaning performance weakens.Overall:The E-Cloth Deep Clean Mop is a good option for eco-conscious individuals who want a simple and safe way to maintain clean hard floors. The washable microfiber head and extra head are pluses. However, those looking for a mop that tackles tough messes or who prefer less effort during mopping might want to consider an alternative. Here are some additional things to consider before purchasing:Floor Types and Cleaning Needs: If you have mostly hardwood or laminate floors and prefer a light daily clean, this mop could be a good choice. For heavily soiled floors or those requiring deep cleaning, a different mop and cleaning solution might be necessary.Washing and Maintenance: Consider how often you mop and whether you're comfortable with hand-washing or machine-washing the mop head.Effort vs. Convenience: Microfiber mops typically require more physical effort during mopping compared to traditional mops with cleaning solutions.I hope this review helps you decide if the E-Cloth Deep Clean Mop with Extra Mop Replacement Head is the right choice for your cleaning routine!

Excellent product for basic cleaning
I bought a Haan steam mop but wasn't using it regularly because it was a bit labor-intensive. I've also used Swiffer dry and wet mops, but don't like the waste. So I decided to try the e-Cloth system. It is not the cheapest microfiber mop system, but is easy to use and works fairly well.Pros:- Extendable handle: I am 5'8" and one thing that bothered me about the steam mop was having to bend to operate it. This mop has a handle that comfortably extends to my height.- Mop pad is absorbent but not so wet that it leaves your floor soaking.- Easy to use. The pad goes on with velcro, so after a bit of practice it becomes easy to take the pad on and off. You can remove the pad and wash it out as you go along so that you're not dragging around a dirty mop pad.- Obviously, more environmentally sound than disposable.Cons:- Handle does not lock in place very tightly. There is a screw-on lock, but several times I had to re-tighten it because the handle extender came unlocked.- Overhyped a bit: The main drawback, I think, is that the name "Deep Cleaning" and the glowing reviews make it seem that your grimy baseboards and stained floors will instantly be clean with only water. A dose of reality is needed. You can't press hard enough with this mop to get out really stuck-on stains. Corners and edges may still need hand-wiping to get clean. The floor did not seem as clean as with the steam mop which sanitizes by heat, but overall I think it will still be cleaner because this mop is easier to use. However the clean you get is equivalent to running your dishcloth over the counter. Keep the floor clean all the time and this will be sufficient. Tougher spots will need some soaking and elbow grease. Overall I'm pretty happy with my purchase.Update after a couple months of use: The screw lock on the handle definitely does not work well. I have to tighten it a couple times every time I use the mop. This lack of basic functionality is inexcusable. However, I am still satisfied with the purchase. It's so easy to use that I am mopping the floor every week instead of once a month. On days I haven't vacuumed, I use the dust mop attachment first to pick up dust and hair. I clean that out into the garbage using Pet Buddies PB5577 FurBeGone Dog Grooming Brush-TPR, Blue, then a hand vacuum to pick up the larger particles. Next I dribble a little white vinegar on the floor where there is visible dirt, and use warm water on the wet mop pad itself. Vinegar leaves a bit of sticky residue if you use it all over. This system is working well for me. I love clean floors!! And no toxic, smelly chemicals.

It arrived in perfect condition and was exactly what ti was shown to be
I had this microfiber mop for many years but the twist part on the handle to allow the mop head to be extended or retracted finally broke. I wanted another just like it and that is what I got. I'm still not thrilled about the mechanism to allow the mop handle to telescope into itself, but that is how they come.
