I chose to utilize synthetic logs in my fireplace, but they alone can not simulate the warm appearance of the embers of a actual wood log fire, that is until you add the Rock Wool in between and beneath the artificial logs and suddenly it looks authentic !

As advertised and as I expected when I ordered.Gas fireplace looks good again

I don't know about value for the money, but having it work as expected is worth having it for sure. I distributed it around, in small amounts, over the burn plate. As the flames come up through the material it looks like burning coals. Good appearance. I closed up my unit and have been enjoying the view since. Recently I saw how I might be able to enhance the view by using a wire brush to flake off some of the material, over the fake logs, to help accentuate the appearance. I'll try it the next time I take the door off for cleaning the glass.

This product works very well on my gas fireplace log frame and has saved a lot of money to replace as the installer who serviced the unit wanted $ 35.00 to replace a small amount and I have a full bag now to use at a lesser price for the same item and can replace as needed.

Works great! This bag goes a loooong way, probably needed a quarter of this max to be honest. Great buy shared some with friends. Looks like real ambers .

Adds so much more to a gas log fireplace! Easy to use. The bag will probably be good for two times. Not sure how long it lasts. Absolutely love the ember glow. Recommended.PS - Not scratchy or itchy like fiberglass. I thought it might be like insulation, but it is not.

Product works, problem was the shipper pasted the shipping label over the descriptive instructional label. Should have been put on opposite side of bag.
