PLEASE consider the negative reviews
I've never considered using these water absorbing devices previously, but for financial reasons I thought it would make more sense then running expensive dehumidifiers. So I purchased a pack of 12 from Amazon for a very reasonable price.Three weeks on and only one of the six I deployed has sucked up maybe a tablespoon of water. You can tell that the little chemical balls are doing something, since they aren't rattling around the tubs as much, but with regard to visual water absorption, it's pitiful.Realising my mistake, and sensing where this was going, I purchased four of what I suspect to be the market leader in this area, the UniBond AERO 360 Moisture Absorber. They were delivered by Amazon yesterday afternoon around 2pm and I immediately set them up on windows next to four of the DIVCHI units. Looking at them at 8am this morning and all four UniBond units has a small amount of coloured dye in the bottom.I'll leave you to decide where your money is best spent, but I know what I will be buying in future.Edit: I forgot to say, when I wrote the above review, that I put one of these units in the shower room, used twice a day. After four weeks, around 1cm of water has been collected.....I also forgot to say that, when I saw how useless these were, I put one in the garage and you can't get much damper than that as we've had a lot of rain recently. I remembered to check this evening and can share that the little balls of moisture-sucker had congealed into a solid lump with zero water in the container.Edit 2: Photo shows a DIVCHI and a UniBond AERO 360 Moisture Absorber that have sat on the same windowsill, the DIVCHI for 7.5 weeks and the Unibond for 5.5 weeks.

not brilliant.
The tubs at least stayed in one piece, but the beads hardened before the tank was ful of water and they went mouldy.

Kept mold at bay in my project car
Turns out that soft tops just love growing mold if you leave them standing out in the open over winter. After cleaning the mold off, I put 10 of these inside the car (photo doesn't show the ones in the footwells) and while it hasn't completely stopped the mold, it's stopped it well enough that I haven't needed to clean it again while working on the rest of the car.So for not much money, I bought myself a lot of time to fix the roof properly. They didn't start working immediately, but it was below freezing when I put them in. A couple of weeks afterwords I gave each of them a shake, and then they seemed to start working. All are almost full now, and it's been about 3 months since they started absorbing.
